Location

This family-friendly beach hotel is situated at the end of an 11 km-long beach, which stretches to the historical town of Rethymnon (roughly 12 km away). The hotel is located in an area called Skaleta, in the municipality of Arkadi. Nearby guests will find many Greek taverns, bars and shops. They can also visit the famous caves of the area or go for a ride with the little resort train to see the whole municipality.

The hotel has a 24-hour reception desk and features 82 rooms. Services such as a baggage storage service, a safe and a currency exchange service ensure a comfortable stay.     Lovely hotel. Basic but comfortable room. Food was homely and fresh, it was very tasty but dont expect gourmet meals. The hotel would be perfect for those who want to spend their days by the pool, listening to the sea or who enjoy taking easy walks to more sandy beaches nearby. The bus stop is a few minutes walk (bring cash to buy tickets at the shop in the hotel or at the bus stops in town). To get to Rethymno is 2€ each way. You can organise trips through the hotel and pick up point is a few minutes walk away, fantastic company and the hotel is very helpful about where to go. Staff are fantastic and friendly. It is a bit far from everything which we knew before going but didn't realise how far - not a huge issue as there are shops that are about a 15 minute walk away that would sell anything that the hotel shop doesn't.Additionally - they prefer for you to pay the hotel tax (i think thats what it is called) in cash so have some on hand for when you arrive, they do take card but preference is cash.Overall, a lovely experience at the hotel.

    My sister and I stayed here recently. We’re not usually the type to visit the same place twice. But this hotel might just break our rule. From the moment we arrived, everyone was super helpful, friendly, and genuinely caring.And of course, we can’t forget the bar! Drink were served perfectly by the fantastic bar team. Plenty of “Yamas!” made it even more fun! The only tiny thing: no straws at the bar. But that didn’t stop the good vibes! 🇬🇷🥂All in all, a great stay, fantastic people, and a little gem we won’t forget. Definitely tempted to come back! Yamas to that! 🍸✨

    I was really disappointed with our stay at begets bay hotel,the reviews are misleading. The hotel is clean but in the middle of nowhere with construction work ongoing right behind. The rooms are very basic which is ok but there were no drawers at all in rooms. Food is extremely repetitive and usually cold.drinks are not at all good . The private beach is just a lot of large boulders with sun beds and the sea is all extremely large stones. On the plus side the restaurant staff and bar staff are all really lovely, reception staff are not so good we asked five times for soap and towels in ladies. Also when our aircon didn’t work properly nobody came to see it. I do not usually write bad reviews but I think a lot of people were misled about this hotel it definitely does not deserve 4 stars.

    We arrived on 06th October and we're transferred to our hotel BEGETI BAY. Where staff guided us for dinner as it was getting time to close kitchen. After dinner and long journey we all 18 people were allocated to our rooms and escaped to our rooms by lovley staff. While our stay at place each and all staff from kitchen, cleaners, room clean team gave us fantastic services with a smile. We enjoyed our stay here and enjoyed excursions too. We all would recommend you must visit this place too.Thank you to resort and management and good staff. LIA, VENETIA, DANIELA, MELINA AND DIP who cooked our choice of food. Thanks

    Lovely hotel and staff, definitely recommend.

    Me and my son stayed at this hotel for 6 nights. The hotel was clean and tidy, rooms were good size, the food was nice and lots of choice. The staff was excellent, I can imagine working in hospitality is challenging, kitchen staff was always smiley and friendly, bar staff was too, especially a guy named Anter, he was fast at his job, friendly and polite to all guests. Location wise it’s beautiful, but only if you want a quick, laid back holiday, if you want a party seen then this is not for you. You need to drive or get the bus which is only 5 min walk if you want to go to a city, 20 min by car, a bit longer in bus. There is a little shop inside the hotel which is very handy. You can rent beach towels if you need too, €10 per towel but you get the money back in end of your stay. Garden is big with swimming pool and lots of sun loungers. If you thinking of going but are unsure, definitely do it, you won’t regret it. Many thanks to all staff at this lovely hotel. Tina&Daniel.
