  Perfect position, incredible hospitality!

  This hotel is perfectly positioned in the heart of the old town of Chania. We booked too late to have a harbour view, but still considered ourselves so lucky to be staying there. The advantage of the city view is that it's quieter than the harbour view, and really peaceful in the early morning apart from the dawn chorus! We can't fault the accommodation, which was just as we hoped it would be, but we were blown away by the breakfasts and the helpfulness of the staff. And that's with the challenge of us being vegan! Even after we'd left (we were there for four nights) George on reception was helping us with contact numbers for our amazing taxi driver (George Vamvakakis Taxi Tours), etc. etc. George on reception was the very spirit of helpfuless and hospitality. If we were lucky enough to visit old Chania again, we would definitely choose Belmondo Hotel!

  The location is unbeatable, but it comes with some crowds and noise. The size of our room was huge and we also like the hammam what was in the room's shower cabin. The communication Giorgos was great before the arrival with plenty useful information and accommodating our request for breakfast (though we never received what was requested).We received a bigger room, but it did not have the view to the port we expected from the pics. We had a room with a huge terrace, but it was obstructed with some walls hence we were somewhat disappointed though it "had a view" in theory, but from behind. The breakfast was not to our taste even though the staff made their best every morning to change it, but we came to the conclusion that this type of arrangement for breakfast is not something for us which is subjective. The coffee in the room (Nespresso) was limited and we had to use it for breakfast too as in we could receive only filtered coffee with our breakfast delivery. On one day we did not receive any coffee pods as they were finished and the new ones did not arrive. The room was very cold (the weather is not under the hotel's control and we were not lucky) and the ACs in the room were drying the air, but did not keep it warm. The bathroom and shower were very cold and the sink was very uncomfortable though looked nice. The reception has limited open hours and there was not one when we arrived, which was fine to self-check-in but we expected it to be different from a hotel. Very strong smell of food from the restaurant under the hotel makes it almost impossible to have the windows open. Overall we expected more from this hotel TBH.

  Located exactly in the middle of the old town of Chania, Hotel Belmondo is a perfect option when you are in Chania.Professional services offered, with good breakfast on the terrace and a lot of restaurants in the neighborhood. One of the best options for staying in Chania.

  Absolutely beautiful hotel!

  We stayed here last year and there was no question where we were going to stay this year! The hotel is perfectly located right next to the Old Town Harbor. It is surrounded by numerous restaurants and tavernas making it the ideal location to stay.The rooms are very spacious and the decor is amazing. We opted for a balcony this year and it was well worth it.The hotel offers a Greek breakfast for an additional cost and it was well worth it, with an assortment of options. Everyday the breakfast was a little different so you do have the same breakfast twice. You can choose to have the breakfast brought up to your room or sit on the patio outside the entrance.The staff was very friendly and hospitable and by the end of your trip, you will feel as if you stayed with family instead of a hotel. You can tell they take pride in making your stay the most relaxing and enjoyable time. By far, one of the best hotels we have stayed at during our travels in Europe!

  Great hotel right in the middle of chania.

  The hotel is amazing and right in the middle of the fun city if Chania. There are restaurant and shops right outside the door but in the room with the patio overlooking the water it’s relaxing and calm. We had a class of wine on the patio almost every night and it was the absolute best way to start off dinner time. They changed the breakfast everyday which was a great surprise and they accommodated dietary restrictions really well. They were also very helpful with a guide to where to go in Chania and the host Giorgio was wonderful and kind about our later arrival time than what was anticipates. Will definitely come back.
