Location

The apartment hotel is located directly on Platanias' beach and only 5 minutes' walk from the centre of the tourist area of Platanias. The hotel is 11 km west of the city of Chania. The seaside village of Platanias is a centre of fun and recreation for locals and tourists, offering all kind of facilities, such as restaurants, bars, shopping areas and water sports. Links to the public transport network are within around 300 m of the residence. It is some 22 km from Chania International Airport.

Facility

Guests have a choice of 39 apartments located in two 2-storey buildings with lifts. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. Amenities include a baggage storage service and a safe. Wireless internet access (for a fee) is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The apartment hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. There are also a number of shops that make for great strolling and browsing. The grounds of the hotel feature a playground and a lovely garden. Additional amenities include a TV room, a playroom and a library. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage (no extra charge) or in the car park. Rooms

Rooms feature a living room, a kitchen and a bathroom. Air conditioning and central heating ensure comfortable indoor temperatures. Guests can enjoy the sea view from a balcony or terrace. Rooms have a double bed or a sofa bed. Separate bedrooms are available. Extra beds can be requested. A safe and a desk are also available. For self-catering guests, there is a well-equipped kitchenette with a refrigerator, stovetop, tea/coffee station, dishwasher and oven. An ironing set is provided for guests' convenience. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, a radio and WiFi are provided as well. Bathrooms are equipped with a shower and a bathtub, as well as a hairdryer. For extra comfort in the bathrooms, guests are offered cosmetic products. Bathrooms with wheelchair access can also be booked. The hotel has family rooms and 39 non-smoking rooms.

Sport

The pool complex, which includes 2 outdoor and indoor pools, is ideal for exercise and active relaxation. Little swimmers can splash around in the children's swimming area. Sun loungers and parasols are available on the sun terrace. There is a poolside snack bar as well. The apartment hotel offers an extensive outdoor sports programme, including cycling/mountain biking, tennis, beach volleyball and horse riding. With water skiing, windsurfing, jet skiing, motorboat rides, sailing, catamaraning, snorkelling, diving and aquafit available, fans of water sports will have plenty to choose from. Guests can enjoy a wide range of indoor sports, including a gym, billiards, yoga, callisthenics and aerobics. After a long day, guests can relax in the wellness area, which features a spa and a steam bath. Massage treatments are among the facilities available for an extra fee. An entertainment programme and live music are also options for entertainment.

Meals

Dining facilities include a dining room, a breakfast room, a café and a bar. Guests can enjoy the culinary delights of the non-smoking, air-conditioned restaurant, which provides high chairs for children. Refreshing drinks at the beach bar are a perfect way to enjoy warm weather. Catering options include half board and full board. In addition to breakfast, the hotel also offers lunch and dinner à la carte. Diet meals, gluten-free meals, vegetarian dishes and children's meals can be prepared on request. The apartment hotel also offers special catering options.

    This boutique family owned and operated hotel is Crete’s hidden gem ! Beautiful well appointed modern rooms/apartments from studios to two bedrooms all with sea views and several beachfront. The panoramic views are captivating. The food is an organic culinary experience and the minute you step on the hotel grounds, you feel the calmness fill you!Claudia the owner has a classy presence and she runs her team like family ~ the mutual respect is visible and palpable!     The hotel exceeded all expectations: it is located right by the sea, with a beautiful pool, an amazing view from the window, clean, and tastefully decorated. The staff is friendly. Just a five-minute walk from the hotel there is a local boulevard with a huge number of restaurants, a grocery store, and an excellent butcher’s shop. Very close by there is a small port where you can rent a boat or take a ride on a motorboat. In the town, you can rent a car or enjoy a train ride around the surroundings.     We loved Blue Dome. It looks just like the photos and has a great feel to it, the sound of the sea, the attentive staff, the lovely pool and restaurant. Accommodation is really good, spacious, comfortable, well appointed with lovely balconies. Cleaned regularly with clean bedding and towels 2-3 times a week. Location is great, it’s calm yet just minutes away from shops, restaurants, bars, supermarkets, mini golf…. Chania is less than a half hour drive (but difficult to park).We stayed for a week in September 2025 in a 2 apartments, both with sea view which was a real bonus, a 2 bed and a 1 bed.     We have just arrived home after 10 days at the Blue Dome. The hotel is literally on the beach it’s amazing. We stayed in room 512 which is a beach and pool view it was perfect for our family of four. The hotel is very well kept and the vibe is laid back and relaxed. The staff are lovely nothing is too much trouble they are friendly and super professional. The area of platanias has lots of restaurants and bars most of which are very good quality. Take the bus into Chania you won’t be disappointed the winding streets and stunning harbour are a must see.
