  I have to say Candia ticked a lot of boxes. We wanted a budget stay before heading to Daios cove and opted for the 1 bedroom double sea suite and it was fine. The onsite supermarket has everything you need. Dinner was a buffet and better value for money than getting an Indivual meals. Although one night I picked a meal and not the buffet and the chicken tawouk was amazing.Now let’s talk kids club because this is the only reason we stayed here over the Intercontintal in Agios Nikolas. We are about the kids now. The kids club is genuinely the highlight, they have an immersive programme where the kids do yoga, bake have a disco and all sorts. Genuinely so much fun. We are Brits and the hotel at the time was mostly German speaking. There’s a playground next to kids club that you can use when supervising your kids. For the kids club drop and go it’s age 4 and my son was obsessed, I didn’t realise trains could also be found there :). There is a real train structure on the other side of the main Resturant that kids love to jump on during breakfast and dinner time. I 100% think this stay offered value for money. Personally if it wasn’t for the kids I would not stay here because I prefer more luxury and a better food offering. Breakfast was pretty basic I didn’t touch a thing apart from juice and a fruit to go. The staff are incredible and can’t do enough for you, service was there for sure. It rained sadly so we didn’t manage the pool in the 3 days but it was the perfect base between Elounda and Agios Nickolas when we wants to explore, we went out for lunch each day.   AMAZING!!! Recommend for everyone.

  The resort had was very calm and fun. It was beautiful especially the beach. My first impression was just how beautiful the inside of the resort was. Everything was clean and comfortable, including the room. The staff was one of the best parts. Everyone was so nice and they were there to answer any questions. I remember one of the staff members that spent a while telling us about how olives are grown. The area around the hotel was just as beautiful as the inside. There were trees and grasses and flowers that just made everything feel so perfect. The location was perfect because we had two families there and there was plenty for the kids and adults to do. The meals were also exquisite, a buffet style combined with delicious signature foods was amazing! I think that no matter how much it cost to go I would return here every year. One of the most amazing vacations I have ever had. I was t really expecting there to be a gym, but there was which really added to the stay, as well as several restaurants, ice cream places, and shops within the resort. Overall this resort is a 11/10, amazing staff, amazing experience. This is a trip for everyone.   You won’t be disappointed if you stay here!

  We have had the most amazing 7 days at Candia Park Village Hotel. It’s set out like a real village and I love that the rooms feel like an apartment. They’re spacious and have a little kitchen. The beds are enormous and very comfortable. It’s very family friendly and perfect if you have little ones. It’s also very quiet in the evenings which is we appreciate. Never slept better in a hotel! We went half board. The food is exceptional as hotel buffet fare goes, Italian night was our favourite. We usually do all inclusive but haven’t missed it at all! The private beach off the hotel is beautiful and it’s so convenient. It is about 100m from the pool and the closest we’ve had at a hotel. There have always been spare sun loungers by the beach and the pool. The gardens are also worth a mention- they’re absolutely gorgeous and perfectly maintained. Gorgeous flowers and really makes walking the village special. We can’t wait to come back again!   Another wonderful holiday

  We have had a wonderful 10 days in Crete at Candia park. This was our second stay and we want to come back soon! We went as a family of 4 with 2 children aged 6 and 10.The location is stunning and the staff are fabulous. They are always pleasant and polite and happy to help. A special shout out to Antonis and Manus in the restaurant (hope that is spelt correctly) who were fabulous! Lots of nice touches like open air cinema for the kids, Greek dancing and a magic show. Overall, it is an amazing holiday choice as it feels like a wonderful safe child friendly location, while also allowing the adults to have a break too. We had a suite and this is definitely worth it. The suites are spacious, stylish and the view is stunning.There is a small gym and on site there is a water sports and scuba centre. My husband had several great dives. If you want a holiday with music by the pool constantly and water slides etc this is not for you, but if you want a relaxed, enjoyable family holiday then this is perfect!
