    Great staff and location, but issues with water and noise

    Pros +The best thing about the hotel was the staff! They were all very warm and welcoming. The location was pretty good, not too far from the main strip of restaurants but still quiet and, depending on what room you have, there’s a nice view of the ocean. Otherwise the room was fine, a bit old but but to be expected and matches what you see on the photos. Pool was nice for days where the ocean was too rough to swim. The water was a bit cold but on a hot day was refreshing. They have some pool floaties available too that you can use Breakfast was good, decent selection and warm options daily that change as well. Also what was nice was that if you leave early on your departure day and will miss breakfast, they actually pack you a huge bag of food for the road! That was a really nice surprise and came in handy when we left at 6am for the airport. Cons -For me the biggest minus points is that water in the shower and sink had a very strange and awful smell. It smelled a bit like sulfur. The hotel staff said it isn’t the normal smell but that it should be fine. But I’ll be honest, it put a huge downer on the trip for me. I talked to a bunch of other people in Crete, and no one else seemed to have anything similar. That was a bit disappointing to be honest. It made showering a very unpleasant experience. But if you want to sleep in, be aware. The cleaning staff started deep cleaning rooms at 6:30 AM and were pushing furniture around super loudly and banging it into the wall. This was only the case if the room had to be completely cleaned after someone left. So not a daily occurrence but still unpleasant The hotel is not far from the main road, so you will hear the traffic. Wasn’t a huge issue for us but if you’re a light sleeper or just want quiet, then be aware. They have a fitness room but it’s only usable from 10am until I think 7pm, because it borders guests rooms. That was a bit of bummer for us because we really like to exercise before breakfast and starting our day, so we weren’t able to use the room

    Great hotel, rooms with air conditioning and all facilities. All the staff are fantastic from the room maids, reception, chef & waiting staff. Nothing is too difficult for them and they carry out their duties efficiently and in a very friendly manner.Although we did room only we often had breakfast, lunch or dinner there - prices are very competitive and the quality of the food is fantastic as is the house wine.

    Pleasant hotel, comfortable rooms with air conditioning. Nice decor and excellent food. Service of the highest standard and I will remember everyone fondly. One waiter in particular. He will know who is writing, the boy in the pink shirt and jeans shorts says hello ;) Give Frida a pat from me. I hope to still have the opportunity to enjoy Castello Bianco in the future.

    A very successful holiday, the hotel staff was very nice and helpful, we especially wanted to thank the lady (blonde) from the reception who helped me carry my suitcase to the room.     Nice hotel to stay. Staff very friendly and speak English, some of them speak Russian. Not very close to the beach, but for that price this is acceptable. Tasty breakfast which you can choose what to order starting 8 am till 11 am. There is a swimming pool which is closing at 7 pm.
