    Highly recommend: great location, rooms are nice and clean, breakfast buffet is delish and customer service was amazing. Special shout out to Maria at the reception for all her help and advice!

    Great location. Right next door to bus terminal. On edge of the old town so 10 min walk to harbour and all the waterfront restaurants. Our room was clean and well appointed. The bathroom was large with a walk in shower. All toiletries supplied. No smart TV. Big balcony so lots of light. Good swimming pool, no sun lounges instead deck chairs. Breakfast was excellent, well presented, good quality and variety. We stayed 3 nights wanted to stay longer but hotel was booked out. Staff were friendly and helpful. I definitely recommend this hotel. I can't fault anything.

    Had Room 301, a corner room with a wonderful wraparound balcony, with a view of a small slice of the harbor. Room is a good size , but surprisedly not a lot of room for luggage. Only 1 luggage rack. Comfortable bed, pillows and linen. Long desk/bureau with mini frig, so plenty of room to set things.Bathroom was good size with shower and tub. Long counter for toiletries. Great robes and full length mirror in closet. Everything is very clean.All the clerks are friendly and accommodating. The breakfast room is very nice with inside/outside dining. Wonderful selections to pick from, plus very friendly breakfast crew and a very sweet cat, named Sammy.

    We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Samaria. We have stayed several times and always received a warm welcome. It is ideally located for exploring Chania, and has delicious options for breakfast. As it was our honeymoon, we opted for the penthouse suite - it was incredible. Our expectations were exceeded! We also were given a celebratory cake the first morning of our stay - in addition to the wine and fruit in the suite - which was lovely. Beautiful music being played by a pianist one evening in the foyer, and I was delighted to hear one particular piece - comptine d’une autre été - which we had played during our wedding ceremony! A wonderful stay, we highly recommend the Samaria.

    We have just returned from a wonderful stay at the Samaria. What a lovely hotel! We were lucky to be upgraded which was such a treat as we were given a room with a huge balcony on which to relax. The room was immaculate as was the remainder of the hotel. Breakfasts were delicious and the staff were efficient, friendly and kind. The position of the hotel was perfect - near a busy square, ideally placed for all Chania has to offer. Most things were 10-15 minutes walk away. We loved beautiful Chania and were sorry to leave both the town and the hotel. We hope to return next year.
