  Nice room in old Chania—3rd floor

  Lovely room on top floor of old building. Windows on. 2 sides which allowed for wonderful cross ventilation and view over some of skyline. Bed is comfortable; bathroom small but functional. Great location in old section of Chania. The staff are very helpful and accommodating but they are not always on site. The manager was easily reachable by text. Be aware that it is a 3rd floor walk up — no lift. Breakfast was served a couple of blocks away at a local restaurant. It was an excellent meal with a range of choices, fresh fruit and breads, eggs cooked several ways.

  Beautiful room in perfect location

  Couldnt have been happier with our stay here. Our lovely host had gone to the trouble of reserving a very hard-to-find parking space which she guided us to before showing us to our beautiful and very comfortable room with balcony overlooking one of the lovely little streets just behind the Venetian Harbour.Our great night of sleep was followed by the included breakfast provided by a cafe just around the corner which offered a wonderful choice of delicious goodies.Unfortunately only a one night stay so we'll just have to go back!

  Great room -terraxce with rooftop views of old town

  Lovely accommodation - really enjoyed our stay. Very comfortable. In the old town but a quieter area so you benefit from no noise but being in the centre. Roof terrace was great especially for the evening view across the old town. Hosts were attentive, regular contact to see if there was anything they could help with, lots of local suggestions.

  Stayed at the Consolato April 23 for 4 nights the accommodation was amazing from start to finish .we were met upon arrival by Thanasis who explained the room & surroundings.the hotel is on a quiet street in the heart of chania old town . Our room was Hermes which was lovely with a superb bathroom.overlooking a picturesque street with shops & restaurants & is minutes away from the beautiful harbour .would fully recommend this hotel .

  This was the most fraudulently advertised room I have ever come across. As 2 female friends we had booked a 2 bedroom suite with living area and sofa bed for our holiday, which was booked, paid for and confirmed several months in advance. When we arrived the entrance opened up to a mattress wedged against a wall in an alcove in the hallway between the bedroom and bathroom. The mattress was neither dressed as a sofa or a bed, it was simply a mattress opposite a kettle and nespresso machine (with no pods). We were shown the bedroom and asked where the other bedroom was. We were told the mattress was! This didn't even constitute a bed never mind a bedroom. The man who met us who subsequently turned out to be the manager became extremely rude and intimidating when we told him this was not what we booked & we wanted what we booked otherwise we wanted our money back. He told us we hadn't paid which was rubbish as we had proof of payment to show him and then subsequently said it was Bulls**t (his words not mine) that a 2 bedroom suite even existed. Meanwhile my friend was on the phone to the manager who said the suite was for 5 people and we were only 2. The manager was shouting at us, did not apologise once and was extremely intimidating. The room was fit for 2 people only & only a romantic couple& was v small , the bathroom was small, outdated and no bath. I noticed there was no photos of our actual room on ANY booking websites. It took hours before we got a refund and our first night was completely ruined.
