Location

This hotel is located in Crete, the largest Greek island, on a pretty coastal road right next to the hotel's private beach. The island includes a number of mountains, which line the south coast with steep cliffs to the flat north, as well as a consistent Mediterranean climate. The bus stop is just a hop, skip and a jump from the hotel. The nearest holiday resort of Platanes is within 6 km of the hotel and the popular city of Rethymnon, with the picturesque harbour and plenty of shops, is located 12 km from the hotel. There is a regular bus service that can be taken advantage of and the transfer time to Chania and Heraklion airports is about 2 hours.

Facility

This resort was renovated in 2023. The hotel has a lift and features a suite and 119 double rooms. Multilingual staff (English, German, French) at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. Guests receive a welcome drink upon arrival. Amenities include a baggage storage service and a safe. Wireless internet access (no extra charge) is provided in public areas. A number of shops, including a souvenir shop, are great for shopping or just browsing. A garden provides extra space for rest and relaxation in the open air. Further services include a 24-hour security service, a car hire service, a transfer service, room service (for a fee), a laundry service and a hotel doctor. A photocopier is available for guests' business needs. The conference room is available for conferences, lectures and meetings.

Rooms

Rooms are equipped with air conditioning. A welcome gift awaits guests. Guests can relax and enjoy partial sea views from the balcony or private terrace of some rooms. Guests are sure to get a good night's sleep in the sofa bed. A safe and a desk are also available. Additional features include a mini fridge and a tea/coffee station. Third-party operators offer a spa, a sauna, hammam and reflexology massage. An entertainment programme and live music are also options for entertainment.

Meals

The dining area includes a restaurant and a bar. Catering options include half board and all-inclusive. All-inclusive holidaymakers enjoy special extras like snacks, in addition to a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. A generous breakfast buffet provides many delicious reasons to rise and shine. At lunch and dinner, guests serve themselves at the buffet. Diet meals, gluten-free meals, vegetarian dishes and vegan food can be prepared on request. The hotel also offers special catering options.

    Great hotel.

    Just recently stayed here and would definitely come back and stay again. The hotel and grounds were clean and well kept and the staff were so nice and friendly especially the bar staff and a young man called Giorgos who was really chatty and polite. The food was good especially the puddings , wine not so good as tasted water down. The only down side of sometimes going into to eat was if they were grilling the room got to filled with smoke which then made your clothes and hair smell . Great pool with really easy access to the sea. Nothing to do when you come out of the hotel as a little bit out of the way but a bus or taxi ride to Rethymnon town is well worth a visit. Would highly recommend this hotel.

    Absolutely gorgeous hotel in a fantastic location right on the beach. Rooms are spacious and stylish. Staff were wonderful and the food was amazing. We went on an all inclusive package which is definitely worth it. The pools are lovely and there are plenty of loungers so didn’t see any early morning lounger baggers! The vibe is very relaxed. There is entertainment each night in the hotel next door if you fancy it and also a well stocked shop there too. The spa is worth a visit and we had the best full body massage I’ve ever had. The sunsets from here are outstanding.     Had everything you need for a relaxing chilled holiday. Beautiful location (although a little remote). Best food and drink package we’ve ever had on an all inclusive with top quality buffet as well as a fine dining experience and pool bbq. Plenty of sunbeds and never felt crowded. The staff were really friendly especially Maria and Toula in the pool bar - an amazing team.     Second time at Creta Royal.

    This was the second time we visited the hotel, and we were very pleased with our room. One drawback was that the room was over the eating area, so at 7 o'clock in the morning, one could hear the cleaning staff.We enjoyed the luxury of the saltwater pool and the friendly service of Maria and Labrini especially.The beds are very comfortable, and although the TV has many channels, there's one drawback: one cannot adjust the volume.Live music was given once or twice a week and was very enjoyable to watch and listen to.We appreciated the hard work of the employees after the huge dust storm to clean up the eating area and the pool area.
