    Won’t stay here again

    rating30 May 2025

First, the bed, the mattress was sunken on one side and the pillows were lumpy and weird. Tried to watch TV and the TV didn’t work. Want to make a cup of coffee in your room? Think again, they use some temporary coffee pod holder that clearly isn’t made for the coffee maker. Finally, the shower, there’s barely any water pressure and the shower head is made for anyone 5’5” or shorter. Not at all a great experience. I’ll definitely look elsewhere our next trip to KC. Guest Services, General Manager at Sonesta Essential Hotel & Suites Kansas City/Blue Springs, responded to this review Dear Becky,We sincerely apologize for the issues you encountered while staying with us in Blue Springs. Fairly good stay

Quality Inn in Blue Springs has a pretty good charm and redeeming qualities with a few issues. One attention to detail that you witness often is the staff is usually cleaning not only the rooms but the high traffic areas throughout the hotel. We had to ask for towels pretty often however. Not the hotel's fault but the 1st night out of 4 we were there they had a pretty bad storm move through the area and the power went out around 1130 pm and it was not restored until around 1pm the next afternoon. Because we had to take ice cold showers Sunday morning, we should have been given somewhat of a discount but none was offered. Also our room was called a suite and I'm not sure what they classify but with other properties normally a suite is more than beds and a kitchen counter but usually offers a sofa bed and a sitting area. Not what we stayed in. Swimming pool is outside and it was pretty chilly but our son enjoyed it. Breakfast is pretty good as well and overall it's a decent value. It could use a few upgrades but we were fairly satisfied.

    Don’t stay

Place was trash. Waste of money. Jaccuzi didn’t work right and they ignored us when we told them. Lady at counter got upset when I asked for plastic silverware and made it out to be that they weren’t suppose to give us any. Carpets were wet and the whole place smelled. Also worst shower ever. They took the hand held shower part and made it the one hooked up and it had so little pressure that it took forever just to get soap out of our hair

Items left behind go in trash

    rating20 Aug 2023

I will never choose this hotel again. I left behind a pair of shoes with very expensive orthotics in them. When I called the hotel I was told no one could find them. I called again later and was told they were thrown in the trash because they were in bad condition, which they were not and now I'm out a ridiculous amount of money. Corporate wouldn't even help, what a waste of money.

    Not terrible

This place is ok if you’re looking for a clean room and comfortable bed.The A/C and TV worked but the coffee pot and clock did not. Although the carpet was torn and there was food and a hairbrush under one of the beds, the sheets and pillows were good and the bed was comfortable- on the softer side,Breakfast was adequate (only white and wheat for bread choices) eggs were watery but they had tangerines which was nice.I wouldn’t plan on doing laundry there as the machines were dirty and one washer and dryer were not working. Although there were a lot of families with kids and traveling sports teams, it was quite at night.
