  Very good with not much to improve on

  The owners went out of their way to ensure our comfort as much as they could. They even helped us out with a scale for our luggage. Our overall experience was good, however the reason that I give it only 4 stars is that there were material/structural improvements that could have improved our stay. The key switched everything off when removed from its slot inside the room, which was annoying, so, we had to use our phone lights to lock and unlock the door, that had a massive hole at the bottom where our mosquito visitors came in at night lol. Also, be aware, if you're tall or a bit on the heavy side, you wont fit on the toilet. They can also do with changing the bedding more than 1ce as it happened once on our week-long stay. Even though the cleaner came three times, she changed the bedding only on the Friday, as i saw the stains that were on the sheets before she showed up still there afterwards. Their policy states tht they change every second day, but i think something went wrong, which i'll discount to human error. But these are mino things other than which I would have given this establishment 5 stars, as the rest of our experience was very good.

  Hotel is ok with decent sized rooms and beds that are clean ish. However, the staff are extremely rude with no smiles from any of them over my stay here. At one point a member of staff physically kicked one of my friends which should never be done regardless of the situation as they work there and are not some random person.Would not recommend this place to anyone who's looking to have a good time in Malia as the staff just try and stop this with their horrible manners. Definitely would avoid.

  This was amazing. Here’s a photo of me outside the famous Golden Sun Apartments! It was so nice and lovely! The food was special, the pool was so so so nice to sit by. I could sit there all day to read my favourite books! And it was close to the vibrant strip which was a massive bonus!!

  Green Pool, Rude Manager, ill equipped room.

  When we arrived with a late check-in, no one to greet us. took a further 10 minutes if sitting around for someone to arrive. She was rude and tried to charge us extra because 'apparently' the website we booked through messed up, despite us re-looking over all details we booked for five and she told us there was only 4 written down. DESPITE paying for 5, she wanted to charge for 6. We then hired conditioning for the full duration of our stay (7 nights) which was blasting 24 degree air out, not exactly cool air. We tried telling various staff members but nothing was done. Furthermore in my friends room the hairdryer malfunctioned after two minutes of its first use and shot out flames where the grill looking attachment is. Luckily no one seriously harmed. As well as all of this, we found cockroaches, the pool left our trunks stained with this slimy green matter which was all around the pool AND the only nice member of staff was presumably the managers/owners daughter the other 5 members of staff we spoke to were rude, uninviting and very forward, not something you really want from a 'family hotel'. All members of our party were polite and well mannered despite quite a few patronising, rude confrontations from the managers. WOULD NOT recommend even to my worst enemy. GsMalia, Υπεύθυνος Ρεσεψιόν at Golden Sun Boutique, responded to this review First of all we would like to thank our customers for choosing us.As the customer says they faced issues during their stay that some of these are just misunderstood.It is true that there was an issue with the voucher because one person wasn't recorded, but nobodyasked an extra charge for this as soon as we informed our operator but he did not confirm our request.About the pool cleaning we do it 2 times during the week.When the wheather is windy dust, leaves and dirt will just get inside.Can't do pretty much anything.Last thing, u have been informed from our operator that the reception is not 24h and by the way ifthe check-in is later than 12:00 (you arrived at 2:00) there is a doorbell on the door that u can ring at any time so we can get in touch.However we would like to give ourselves a second chance,so we offer a 3 day free stay by responding to this email writing your reservation numberto confirm your identity.Thanks.

  Lovely place to stay!

  Perfect location, close to the main street and the beach. The room was clean, cozy and spacious. It included basic facilities such as: kitchenette, nice bathroom, balcony. Also free AC and free Wi-Fi. The staff was gentle and welcoming. I would definitely stay there again, highly recommended!
