    Beautiful Stay

    rating11 Nov 2025

Saw this Hotel on my last visit as I walked past on the beach, it looked right up my street, I went home and booked straight away for this year.Travelled from Cyprus so had a short 2-hour stopover in Athens. Arrived and we were shown to our room by Maria. We were in rooms 1 & 3 which was a shame as we would’vePreferred to be next to each other as they had a patio outside. The room had a drain smell the whole time of our stay. We didn’t complain as we didn’t spend a lot of time in the room and theoutside of the hotel, more than made up for it. The rooms were basic and clean. The shower curtain could do with being weighted as it is a wet room and not an individual shower and you end up getting stuck to the wet curtain. The ground floor rooms are being upgraded. The Hotel is advertised as “A beachfront hotel for couples & beach lovers” this was the reason I booked, sadly on numerous occasions, a group of 8 adults and 3 children came in from the seagull apartments and used the pool daily, bringing with them children screaming and shouting. On one afternoon, they even jumped over the wall. If it is advertised as a couples stay you make theassumption that there will be no children. Rooms were always cleaned and bed made every day.Onto the Hotel Staff, Maria a fantastic host and nothing it too much trouble, the other lady who works as the chef cooking and preparing meals, are an absolute powerhouse of a team. The food was always excellent and was presented perfectly. These ladies are an absolute credit to this hotel. The hotel is placed right on the beach and in the centre of Stalis.I was going to book for next year as soon as I got back, the rooms we were in are having an upgrade with a jacuzzi on the patio, which is a shame as in 30+ degrees I can’t imagine anyone using it.The cost of the rooms has increased dramatically, I’ll just have to save a little harder because the place is worth it.

    Not what advertised

Beautiful outside surroundings right on the beach but…..Terrible management at this hotel. Very rudeBooked a deluxe double room …. Very small, hardly any storage, bathroom extremely small nowhere to put toiletries or even towels. There was nothing deluxe about this extremely overpriced room. Shall not be returning again

    Stay here!

    rating02 Aug 2025

This place is amazing, you will not find anywhere better to stay in Stalis (and probably the whole of Crete!)We were looked after from arrival to departure the fantastic Maria, who truly is an asset to this place. She doesn’t stop all day making sure everyone is having the best holiday. Gem of a lady, who ensured we always had drinks, organised transfers, booked our late check out……the list goes on, all while paying a genuine interest in each and every guest. I also have to mention the fantastic cook, we usually always eat out when on holiday, however this lady made it hard for us to do so! Fantastic breakfasts, sandwiches and snacks were freshly prepared in an open kitchen, again this lady never sat down as once guests had tasted the food they stayed! We had the Marron Suite with a private pool, spacious and modern, a perfect place for relaxation! We also had two deluxe rooms which were modern and clean, small but fine for the time spent in them. The location could not be better, literally right on the main street, 100s restaurants and shops (but you can’t hear a thing from the studios!) and a lovely pool, loungers and direct access to the beach at the front! Eleni’s communication from booking to arrival was fantastic, prompt and pleasant.

    Absolutely fantastic

    rating27 Sept 2024

The two of us just returned from a two-week stay at Soleil in Stalis. It was our sixth visit in recent years and just as good as ever. We met lots of lovely people whilst there, many who return time again for good reason....it's perfect beachfront location and excellent hospitality! Special mention for Maria and Manos who can't do enough for you and really make your holiday special. Our room was typically basic Greek self-catering accommodation which was kept spotlessly clean and was all we needed for our stay. It was good for the money too.We were on the ground floor with a decent sized patio that's a real suntrap at times, but you can still get shade. The central location is perfect for all the bars, restaurants and beaches that Stalis has to offer. Our only regret is that we wish we'd booked three weeks instead of two... next time we shall!.🙂Needless to say, we shall most certainly be back before too long to enjoy Soleil and all its fantastic surroundings. John and Jayne ❤️

The worst experience I ever had

    rating25 Sept 2024

I booked a room as it was present as very nice place on the pictures posted.when we get there they give us a room that should not be given to anyone. It was very uncomfortable no place for towels and toilet paper in the bathroom and it is in the basement. Very noisy also. They have no refund policy as they expect people that have this type of room will refuse to stay. That is my case too, we booked 5 nights and left after the first one. Probably they have updated rooms but this is happening to us. Be careful if you book at this place.
