    Relaxed and friendly

    rating21 Sept 2025

The friendliness of the staff is what makes this place George, Bill, Alex & RosaCheck in was relaxed just walk up to the bar. There is a reception but it is very rarely manned. But George the owner knows your coming and will either be there or will have told the Barman Alex or Bill the cook to greet you. Rooms are ok everything you will need. Personally I would prefer the ground floor apartments as you can sit on the patio area but some like the upstairs as you get a view over the sea. Pool area is great its clean tidy, no problems getting sunbeds Bill is on duty until 15:00 hours so will cook you anything from the menu. Food is good recommend you try one of his daily specials. Its a similar price to bars, taverns etc.The hotel is quirky lots of nice spots mostly designed by George and reflect his style, natural materials form sculptures. He is a clever man. Watched the sports on TV with him with him a few times. Being a small hotel 14 rooms one soon gets to meet the rest of the guest some are English others not, but its such a friendly and relaxed atmosphere that it encourages you to engage in conversations.Only downside is that apart from one restaurant (Big Blue) and the sports bar there really is nothing within walking distance. SO FORGET WHAT TRIP ADVISER says there is not much close by. I think the big all inclusive hotels have killed off the local tavernas bars etc. But once you have your head around that and accept that you will either need a car or use taxis then its OK. You just have to accept the inevitable fares and costs e.g. Hersonissos old town 15 Euro and New town 10 Euro one way.Another thing to note is that this is a card only hotel. The only thing you pay in cash is the tourist tax (which is 2 Euro/day)

    A wonderful holiday!!

    rating05 Aug 2025

We stayed at Kreta Natur for a relaxing summer holiday, and it absolutely exceeded all expectations. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed like family. The atmosphere is peaceful, authentic, and truly captures the spirit of Crete. The property is beautifully maintained, with lush gardens, a sparkling pool, and stunning views of the sea and surrounding hills. It’s the kind of place where you instantly feel at peace. Our room was spacious, spotless cleaned daily by Rosa who was friendly and did a great job. The rooms are tastefully decorated, with a private balcony that overlooked the well established gardens. We had a lovely terrace enabling us to enjoy a glass of wine of an evening. What really sets Kreta Natur apart is the people. The hosts George and Maria were warm, helpful, and genuinely invested in making our stay perfect. Their daughter Sofia offered great recommendations for local restaurants, beaches, and excursions—and were always available if we needed anything. The food! Bill the chef doesn’t just cook—he connects. He made time to chat with us about the dishes, he truly looked after us for the whole ten days. Every dish Bill served was a celebration of authentic Greek flavours, made with love, care, and the freshest ingredients. Whether it was the homemade meatballs, crispy chips, fragrant rice, or his amazing Greek salads, every bite was perfection. And don’t get me started on the greek yoghurt that I had at breakfast every morning! The location is ideal: quiet and serene, yet close enough to Hersonissos and other nearby attractions if you want to explore. We loved discovering hidden beaches or spending a relaxing day around the pool which often we had all to ourselves! This was one of the most relaxing holidays we’ve had, and we’re already planning to come back. If you’re looking for a peaceful, authentic, and beautifully run place to stay in Crete, Kreta Natur is a true gem. Thankyou for a wonderful holiday!Mark, Rachel & Emily

Peace and bird song- relaxing time. i would return

    rating30 May 2025

Arrived after midnight, George took me to my apartment directly. Admin will get sorted in the morning. Small family run apartments , everyone was so helpful and welcoming i felt tearful leaving. They felt like family.Lovely cosy room with balcony facing sea, with a fridge, kettle, hot plate and toaster. Iron + board, hair dryer and TV also air con. Double bed was so cosy. Room was dark but due to heat it needed to be, Bathroom had shower with usual toiletries.I had B&B booked. Breakfast which was eaten by the pool, can keep you going all day. Greek salad, filo pastry cheese, yoghurt, boiled egg, toast & jam + juice & coffee.Pool was small but enough for most of us + little one for children. No fights for sun beds use a towel as they are Leather/plastic covering.Bill the Chef would make you a lunch if required generally he would let you know what he is making the day before and you would place your request. You will not be disappointed the few meals i had were delicious.Getting out & about Lidl -20 mins walk, town/port about 1 hr 20 mins for me, there is a closer beach for naturalists. Bus also runs but think it is not that reliable. Walks can be curvy roads, small inclines, no pavements. Cabs 10 euros. Plenty of hire car/ moped places around. Excursion shops are around if you want to go on trips. FYI - Crete does get earthquakes generally all is well was a bit of a surprise at 6am when the room shook, seems there was couple more but i was unaware. Occasionally sand dust from the Sahara but not that regular.

    Wonderfully relaxing

    rating28 May 2025

Peaceful and relaxing. Kreta Natur is a beautiful oasis of calm. Georgo and Maria have created a wonderful environment to rest and unwind in. The rooms have been thoughtfully designed to give privacy but to also to take advantage of the lovely surroundings. The rooms are cleaned daily and the staff are all very friendly. There is a small bar by the freshwater swimming pool.. cocktails can be quite potent! If you can tear yourself away from the pool you can find some good local restaurants, two Spar shops and a bar or two. Be prepared to walk some distance and always up hill at some point. The best meal we had though was lunch cooked by Bill at Kreta Natur. The beach is gorgeous, much of it has been taken up by the larger hotels and sunbeds for their guests however you can find some empty stretches. We stayed in May which was uncrowded and a great temperature for us. Swimming in the sea was idyllic. We loved it here and will definitely aim to come back next year and stay for longer.

We have just returned from the most wonderful week at Kreta Natur! From the warmest of welcomes, to the farewell with the staff who had become friends. The apartment was lovely, with a generous balcony, and kept spotless by lovely Rosa. George and Maria have put so much thought into creating a peaceful and beautiful place to relax. The pool is lovely, the gardens and multiple seating areas kept immaculate! Nico is a cocktail genius, and such a friendly guy!If you are looking for peace and quiet and a welcoming family atmosphere, then Kreta Natur is just the ticket.
