  Cockroaches in the room. Avoid this hotel

  Absolutely horrible experience. The room looked nothing like the photos, it was old, filthy, and disgusting. There were stains everywhere: toothpaste in the sink, dirt on the shower floor, and yellow marks on the towels, sheets, and pillows. It clearly hadn’t been properly cleaned in ages.The worst part? We found cockroaches in our room. When we told the staff, they actually admitted they already knew about the problem but weren’t doing anything to fix it. That’s beyond unacceptable.The receptionist couldn’t have cared less. No manager, no owner, just excuses and “send us an email”, which, of course, no one ever replied to. We left almost immediately after checking in because staying there was impossible.And yes, they still kept our money. We’ve been calling several times since, but every time they just say we need to speak with a different manager, and nothing ever happens.Please, don’t make the same mistake we did. Stay far, far away from this place, it’s one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had.

  1/5 STAY AWAY - FILTHY with Cockroaches

  Our stay at this hotel was awful. The room looked nothing like the pictures — it was extremely old and filthy. There were stains everywhere: toothpaste in the sink, dirt on the shower floor, and yellow marks on the towels, sheets, and pillows. The place clearly hadn’t been properly cleaned in a long time.To make things worse, we found cockroaches in our room. When we mentioned it to the staff, they admitted the hotel is already aware of the problem but aren’t doing anything to fix it. That’s completely unacceptable.The receptionist was unhelpful, avoided responsibility, and kept making excuses about there being no manager or owner available. We were told to send emails, but no one ever replied. We ended up leaving early because it was impossible to stay there — and of course, we never got our money back.Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this hotel. It’s one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had.

  Don't, Just don't!!!!

  Worst experience ever.I don't know how ppl are giving them 4 and 5 stars!?Don't go people, all is a scam!Rooms and furniture are probably 9+ years old, furniture sticky and walls with 10 coats of paint. Bad and "old" smell.Breakfast........ apart from water milk, concentrated orange juice with water and 3 options....... bread, ham and cheese, nothing else to choose from.Be care before you book it and better pay a bit more but decent service.I would rate this as a 1 star only because the location, oposite the road is the sea.

  needs a refurbishment and some love

  Where do I start about this hotel...this is a honest review.The staff are very friendly and will do there upmost to help and assist you.This hotel needs a massive update and some money spent on it.Arrived in the early hours and reception was shut a note had been left on a notice board with room key, details and wi fi password.Room easy to find was at the rear of the hotel very basic and had some weird pipes coming from the floor in the corner of the bedroom, very dusty in places, the only view from the balcony was a fence and a wall.hardly slept as the people above us were very noisy could hear chairs scraping, voices and banging for most of the night as if the wind was blowing something on to the outer wall.Very low water pressure in the room too.The receptionist said she could move us in to another room which was located overlooking the pool.This room was much better but again the weird pipes were present, very basic and the shower head was been heald on the wall by some masking tape which quickly fell down and had to shower holding the head.the beds and pillows are horrifically hard and uncomfortable and we only had 3 so my partner had to use pillows from the sofa bed.Again the whole room needs a update and brought in to the 21st century.The cleaning for me is not a great standard the bathroom was not cleaned properly throughout, toothpaste marks left in the sink and the soap dish was disgusting.very dusty room and the balcony area was never cleaned or mopped, I cleaned the table out there myself and it was obvious this had not been wiped in a long time.no do not disturb signs either and the cleaner literally walked in to the bedroom while I was unclothed.no welcome pack in rooms or any information about the hotel or anything local.pool area and reception are presentable but again a dirty plaster was left stuck on the floor around the pool.Breakfast is good with a great selection but most of the hot food, eggs bacon sausages is swimming in oil.I don't feel that the management of this hotel will take any feed back on board but they really need to as this hotel is screaming to be back where it deserves and is in a great location.The staff are amazing except the cleaners really need a lesson on cleaning.Please spend some money as at the moment I would not return to this hotel or recommend to anyone else and I would be very wary of good reviews for this hotel as I have no idea how they are so good.Also the electricity tripped out twice during my stay and the water went off mid shower and had to use the kettle water to rinse my hair.

  Convenient, comfortable and friendly

  This is a small family run hotel convenient to the airport and Iraklion city. (Buses run to from airport every 20 minutes, cost €2.10. Hotel arranged transfer €30).The area is OK with a variety of tavernas etc and small beaches. We stayed 3 days before moving to our next resort. Reception, restaurant and cleaning staff were all very helpful and friendly, especially if you made the effort to speak a few words of Greek such as kalimera etc.We booked direct and received a complimentary upgrade. The breakfast was very good for a Greek hotel, full continental plus fried and scrambled eggs and a meat choice which varied day to day.The pool area was clean and in September there were always loungers available. The nearest small beach is about 40m away. Our room was comfortable with a refrigerator and kettle. Highly recommended for beginning or end of a holiday, maybe not for a fortnight.
