  Fabulous hotel in Malia

  We are at the end of an 11 night stay at this fabulous hotel. Dionysos is located on one of the main streets in Malia so is perfectly located for everything the town has to offer whilst the rooms are very well sound proofed so we never had any problems with noise and slept well in the comfortable beds. The hotel is modern and kept perfectly clean with rooms and public areas spotless . It is managed by sisters Christina and Paris who welcome you as part of their family as soon as you step through the door - we have never had such a personal service on holiday before - all staff are incredibly friendly, efficient and very helpful with the queries we had. We found the food in the restaurant very good with a variety of choices for breakfast ( these were similar most days but with such a wide choice this was not a problem ) and rotating dishes at night including greek options. The problem was what to choose, to be honest, as it was all so good ! We used public buses to travel around and found them cheap, easy and reliable.Absolutely would recommend Dionysos to anyone wishing to stay in Malia !

  Great hotel, food let's it down

  Ok, so just returned from this hotel after a 9 night stay. This is just my opinion.Firstly the staff in this hotel are amazing, they work very hard and are very friendly and do anything they can to help. The cleanliness is superb, and rooms are cleaned daily.The hotel is situated right in the centre of Malia so the location is perfect to access all the resort has to offer, and we heard no noise from the nearby clubs from inside the room.The rooms are great, although there is no wardrobe but there is a hanging rail to hang some clothes on. Then you come to the restaurant. This is more like a cafeteria without adequate seating for the amount of guests here. It's obviously a converted club or function room as there is thousands of euros worth of lighting and sound equipment in the ceiling. The food selection is definitely not 4* breakfast is limited with not much variety if you like a hot breakfast. The evening meals just seem to be a mixture of stews and casseroles reusing the previous days food. There is no theme to meals, and very often no potatoes or fries to go with any of the meats or stews available. We were hoping to see various Greek dishes on offer but this sadly wasn't the case.To summarise I would 100% recommend this hotel to stay in but would plan to eat out at the many restaurants available in the area.

  We had a team group and we chose this hotel for our tournament. Exceptional hotel in Malia with new amenities, wonderful staff and fantastic owners. We definetly recommend this hotel for all tourism reasons.

  Amazing stay at Dionyssos Hotel

  The hotel was very good, with modern design and modern facilities, we had two triple standard rooms and all of them were clean, tidy and well furnished on arrival. The shower and tap had good water pressure as well. The pool and outside were of high quality and very enjoyable to use as well, and again the furniture was comfy and clean.We stayed for 1 week at half board and all meals were of high quality and full of flavour, with the dinner time meal rotating menus each day and breakfast being the same staples each day, with a good mix of international and national items. Rooms were cleaned every day to a high standard and towels replaced every other day.Staff were lovely and extremely helpful and friendly, especially Tina who was very helpful with ordering a taxi for us to take us to Knossos palace and telling us how to get back by bus in Herakleion.

  We loved our stay here, staff were amazing and very welcoming. The room was modern and very clean. Location is central with loads to do around the hotel. We would definitely come back thank you!
