Perfect location. Very nice hotel. Excellent service.

    rating09 Dec 2025

Modern, bright, crisp and clean! And perfectly located in Heraklion close to many great restaurants and city center. Absolutely stellar breakfast buffet. The only downside is that they had switched the HVAC to heat and rooms were uncomfortably hot. The solution was to open up the balcony door, as thermostats couldn’t be adjusted. Having the balcony door open was noisy until about 11 pm (weekend) , but fine after that. No street noise is door was closed. Hotel was able to arrange airport transfers for our small group, even when there was a farmers’ strike that blocked direct access to the airport.

Stay away from Dom Boutique Hotel!!!

    rating28 Oct 2025

Horrible....Stay Away!!!!Total lack of service!!!Recommended a guide who was not licensed, spent a whopping $550 for a day in an uncomfortable large van with a man who shared minimal information like here is the plaka, want to spend 20 minutes?!!Stayed in most pricey accommodation, one of two suites, with a broken faucet in bathroom sink. Their remedy was for us to move our belongings to the other suite so the sink could be repaired?Loud club music is played by restaurants throughout the "old town" from afternoon to well after midnight. There is no peaceful place and Americans are often turned away at restaurants. You are not welcome at Dom.Boutique or in Heraklion. Go anywhere else in Europe... anywhere but here!!!!!

Excellent location , close to a variety of shops and restaurants. Parking is limited but there is a public car park across the road. The room was clean and spacious. The staff were friendly and courteous. The concierge was welcoming. A big thanks to our afternoon concierge Marianna who gave us lots of tips for great restaurants

Fine for an overnight stay, inconvenient for airport travellers

    rating28 Aug 2025

Slightly surprised by the high rating for this property. The location is very central in Heraklion and just 10 minutes from the airport, which makes it a convenient overnight pitstop if you are flying in late. What is quite inconvenient is that there is absolutely no space outside for a taxi to park, which makes loading and unloading luggage outside the hotel quite hazardous and extremely stressful for the taxi driver. The vehicle will literally need to stop in the middle of a 4-way junction blocking traffic in all directions. This made it a huge inconvenience both while checking in and checking out particularly as we have a child and needed time to safely install a car seat. No one from the hotel came out to help. The room itself was spacious and very modern, but not very clean. We had footprints at the entrance of the room and in the bathroom from someone who had clearly walked all over with their shoes after the floor had been mopped.Breakfast next morning was alright, but nothing to write home about. The breakfast buffet area is quite small with not much variety.Overall, this hotel is fine for an overnight stay. I would not recommend it for an extended stay.

Amazing location, modern but some quirks

    rating25 Aug 2025

We stayed in the DOM hotel for two nights in Crete before flying home after a week in Santorini. We loved the location - right in the middle of urban center and a very happening area with beautiful cafes, stores, really central. The hotel has a very modern style which we loved. There were some quirks though for sure: The wifi in the room was spotty, you kept having to rejoin the network (each room has their own wifi code). The housekeeping cleaned our room but forgot to leave us towels and we only noticed once one of us started showering - that there were literally now towels. We then tried calling housekeeping - on the phone there are a series of buttons for who to call and one was "housekeeping" but it went nowhwere. Couldn't reach anyone so pressed 0 and they said there is no way to call housekeeping (then why have a button marked 'housekeeping?'). The light switches in the room were all not actual switches but modern mini screens (as if) labeled to "touch on / touch off" a certain light. It was actually confusing - would have just preferred switches! Found a stranger's gym sock under our bed (I guess from the last guest) - that can happen.Breakfast was great, delicious and good variety.
