  lovely place but never stated it would be hard for anyone with mobility problems which is a bit bad

  On arrival the taxi told us to get out at the bottom of the hill, we had to walk up the steep hill with our cases, as it was a late flight and we had some issues with retrieving our luggage at the airport we was about an hour later than expected. The man literally rushed us to our room. The steps are not for the fainthearted. There is food served in the snack bar in the day but it was limited as they were getting ready for the end of season. You cannot take your own food around the pool.The room door was scraping on the floor which made it hard to actually open and the door lock played up a lot, the fuse board door kept springing open when you entered your room smacking you in the face. The bathroom sink was wobbly so best not to lean on it, the toilet flush you had to take the panel off to press down the flush cone or it carried on running. Shower was very small. We got clean towels twice in the 7 days we stayed there and bed changed once. You only have a kettle and 2 ring hob, no microwave or toaster which would of been handy as although you are literally a couple of minutes walk from piskopiano coming back up gets your heart pumping. It should really state that it is no good for anyone with mobility issues or any form of lung condition eg COPD as its a killer. George was lovely whenever we went to the bar always chatting to us.It is a beautiful pretty place with views over the whole of hersonissos which are beautiful but the hill and steps are challenging

  Great place and the best pool in the area

  Absolutely love this place, but it is quite a trek from the village up a steep hill and steps, especially in the heat. The place is spotlessly clean and all the staff work really hard here. The pool is my favourite area, it’s big and there was never a problem getting a sun lounger. George and the other staff are helpful and very friendly. The food is good from the bar and the Baileys Frappe is amazing

  Fantastic fortnight at Driades. Excellent value for money.Rooms were great. We stayed in the middle block and enjoyed taking in the amazing views. As mentioned in other reviews the staff all work incredibly hard and cater to your every need. George is a legend. We would always stop at the bar after going out that evening.Loads of places to eat in the villages all in a short walk to access. Only issue would be the walk back up to the accomodation but option of taxi if it bothers people that much.We didn't do this once. During the day breakfast and snacks are available from 9am til 5pm. All excellent value. After staying in Crete on previous occasions we are now going to rebook here for next year.

  We stayed at the apartments next door but found this place and used the pool and bar everyday as it was bigger and nicer, the staff were so friendly and accommodating, great prices at the bar amazing food and just beautiful place will be staying here next time !

  The best place to stay in Crete!

  This is the best place you could stay in all over Crete. And I am being serious. The hotel, the people working here - 10/10!! Honestly I cannot recommend this place enough, but let’s try to but is really simple .. I am writing this review whilst waiting for our transfer to the airport and wr have already booked our next stay here. This says it all. ❤️
