  Beware of this hotel chain!

  Beware of this hotel chain! As one reviewer stated, there are plenty of other options in Chania! We needed to change our booking and although I never book non-refundable rooms, all of a sudden my first confirmation letter changed to a different confirmation which they claimed was the only VALID one. I’ve traveled to several countries, including Crete, and not once have I booked no refundable. Especially with the COVID pandemic increasing problems for travelers. Management is rude, unhelpful and could not explain why they sent me 2 reservation confirmations. However, since the charge went through my credit card, we are forced to stay here. I will post an honest and reliable review after our stay, and hope once we are there, management and staff are much improved in person. Would I EVER book here again? Absolutely not! The first confirmation I received clearly stated refundable room. The second one did not! Yes, we will be staying here, but would really advise others to look elsewhere.   The Best of Chania and surrounds

  Staying at any of the Elias hotels are a wonderful way to establish a home base in Crete. They are centrally located in Chania and are staffed by some of the most kind & caring people. My wife & I recently stayed at the Elia Daliani and it was just delightful. Situated between a bustling street with cafes, shops & tavernas and the old market - everything you need is moments away. The room is bright & airy with a mini fridge & bathroom with and amazing shower. Very simply decorated - it is the perfect place to unwind, rest after a day of sightseeing in the heat of summer and sit out on the balcony overlooking the old market... If you are lucky to meet Dimitra who runs reception in the Elia Betolo, you are in for a real treat. She is bright & passionate about helping her guests truly get the best Chania has to offer. She helped us book great restaurants including the understated but just delightful Mikios Taverna, Pallas with a great view & the best seats!! And of course the Thalasino Ageri... all equally lovely. She is warm, very caring and a truly special person. As the Elias family of hotels also offers access to other Elias locations we were sure to take advantage of the Elias Agia Marina hotel too. A lovely hotel also wonderful staff Sylvia at reception who assured us fresh towels & lounge chairs & umbrellas by the beach at no extra cost.... what makes this location spectacular, is not only the beautiful beach, perfectly calm sea just perfect for swimming but another fantastic Elias staff member George, who looked after us, with lovely coffee, wine & snacks while on the beach. He is not only charismatic but wise and helpful and also helped to make us feel right at home at this sister hotel. Lastly, we also took advantage of the day trip offering to Balos from the hotel and again we met other truly wonderful staff, the professional driver & the “tour guide” Zanina, who is a font of knowledge in archeology in the region. They are both the icing on the cake.Well done Elias hotels!! We will be looking to come back very soon. ❤️

  Wonderful 2-night stay.

  Not sure why anyone gives this hotel less than Excellent reviews. We thought it was wonderful. Boutique. Charming. We loved it.Elia has several hotels within old town Chania. Our room was a short walk from the main hotel (Elia Bettolo). We were escorted by a young man. The entrance to the Daliani suites is is small and we had some stairs to climb, but the charm of the building made it fine. Check-in was a breeze and the receptionist was very helpful and kind. Nice bed. Beautifully accommodated room. Small patio looking over the old town market. Clean. Comfortable.   I liked everything about the hotel. It was clean, tastefully decorated, spacious and the you could contact the more-than-kind reception desk 24/7. Plus, it is located in a very convenient location in the old town with many amazing restaurants around. Perfect choice for couples, too.   Old Town Stay

  This hotel will make you feel apart of the old town. It is located within the markets of Chania. One side of the hotel looks onto old market the other a busy restaurant street. We had two beautiful meals on this street, it's really where the locals go. The whole area has a good engery. Check in is easy but located at a different location, only a 3 minute walk. We had a room on the top floor over looking the market. Beautifuly dectrocated and very well kept. Keep in mind that you need to walk up some steep stairs, to the rooms. The other hotel where you check in has a lift. It can get a tad nosiy from both sides at night, so if your a light sleeper bring ear plugs. Maybe if they put in double windows this could help. But don't left that put off, would stay in these suites again.
