    Α very good choice for the area for someone who does not want to pay a lot of money because of the name of the area.The rooms were very clean and the staff very friendly and helpful.We tried the breakfast and it was a good experience for the money we paid.Everything was fresh and very well cooked .It definitely needs renovation but we will definitely visit the place again.     Avoid - nothing like the pictures, filthy & run down!

    We were very excited to stay here based on the trip advisor rating and the lovely pictures on Jet2 for a girls trip with my Mum & Auntie. However, unfortunately the place is nothing like the photos, it is grubby and very run down. The staff are very lovely and friendly, however, unfortunately no amount of kindness can make up for the state of the place. We stayed for 1 night before finding alternative accommodation for the rest of the week. Issues within the 24-hours of our stay:- Room was filthy, especially the floor, you could not walk around barefoot. I cannot emphasise how dirty the room felt. The saving grace was clean sheets.- Room door (room 603) did not lock from the inside, but we were told it’s okay as it is a very safe hotel- Grouting in the bathroom was missing, and holes in the tiles which hadn’t been filled - Pool was very dirty, with scummy bits floating around, and upon arrival (mid Saturday afternoon) nobody was around it which tells you all you need to know- Fridge rusted inside - Rust outside on the balcony, including awful sunbed on ‘rooftop’- Cracks and missing render making it look very shabby - Climate tax was taken upfront so we paid for 7 nights despite leaving after 1 - Breakfast options very limited, especially if you have allergies as cross contamination is a big issue with the same tongues for multiple foods - Location is quite a walk to the town on uneven paving and there is not pavement all of the way, at nighttime the walk back could be dangerous as there are not lights everywhere - Bedroom doors not painted properly Overall, the hotel is in need of serious renovation and it is not suitable for guests to stay in.     Enjoyable stay & don't really get the negatives.

    We only stayed for one night for a birthday meal in the town. The staff were very helpful & our room had everthing we needed with a lovely balcony & view down the Olous.It's not 5 star but then doesn't claim to be. The hotel itself & outside areas were all very clean so a place we'd happily stay again.     An excellent base to explore the surrounding area

    I have just returned from a 7 day stay in the Krini hotel. This is a small family run hotel. The rooms are modestly appointed yet well-maintained, featuring a pleasant outdoor area suitable for enjoying refreshments or light snacks. The staff are very friendly and go out of their way to accommodate your needs. I booked half-board , which I would not recommend. The food is basic, but as I later discovered at 10 Euros for breakfast and 12 euros for a three course evening meal, with an alcoholic drink included, it is pretty good value. I think it's unfair to compare the Krini with some of the big resort hotels further out . The Krini is not in the luxury bracket, but it’s in a great location, very safe and only a short walk into Elounda. There are sunbeds round the pool and you do not get bombarded with loud booming music all day. If you are looking for a quiet, peaceful base from which to explore, the surrounding area, that is simple friendly and will not break the budget, I can recommend the Krini to you.

    In need of an urgent makeover

    It is always difficult to make negative comments when you are greeted by the most wonderful reception staff who were extremely helpful during our stay, but please listen to the most recent reviews by other guests who’s comments we totally agree with, our room was possibly the worst we have stayed in since we started our travels in the 1980’s. The hotel is soulless, is in need of an urgent makeover and please do something for your guests in the evening, there’s nothing worse than going out for a meal and returning to what can be best described as a desolate place. We loved our first trip to Elounda but I’m afraid to say that upon our return we will not be staying at the Krini
