A bargain hotel in a central location.

    rating11 Apr 2026

Perfect bargain hotel in a great area. Rooms very clean and shared bathrooms always available and also clean. It is basic but Copenhagen is expensive so if you are looking for a bargain in a central location - the Annexe is just around the corner from the train station and Tivoli gardens so is ideal. It is part of the Absalon hotel which has a beautiful lobby and you can buy breakfast for £17. They do delicious coffee for £5. There is a kitchen too - we didn’t use it but it was in good state. The only drawback is the area is quite lively at night and there is a strip club nearby so might not suit young families. Loved our stay. We hope to welcome you back soon for another enjoyable visit.Best regards,Annex Copenhagen

    Good overall

    rating11 Jan 2026

To start, I would highly recommend this as a budget option for groups travelling. A cross between a hostel and a hotel, sinks in each room, toilets very clean, and a shared kitchen where we met lots of friends. One of the staff on reception was rather rude, but this doesn’t bother us very much 🤣 We got a hairdryer upon asking. The only thing i would mention for solo female travellers is that the hotel is located near a “men’s home” (for homeless men). Nothing dangerous happened, but we had a few run ins with some dodgy characters and were followed by a few men in the area outside the hotel. It’s very close to the main station, so we would just run. We also saw a few prostitutes. Thankfully, the hostel is located inside a nice hotel so there is the safety of a 24/7 reception. Would probably return. Absalon Hotel Guest Relations, Gæsteservice/reception at Annex Copenhagen, responded to this review Thank you for taking the time to share your experience at Annex Copenhagen. Basic rooms with shared bathrooms

    rating16 Nov 2025

Location is good but this is a very basic hotel despite the price. We paid £80 for a room without a private bathroom. You enter via the main door to Hotel Absalon reception area. go up a flight of stairs where there are 2 self check in screen. You print your own room key - there are no physical reception staff. The lift was OoO some of the time we were there. Room was an ok size but smelt of stale sweat like a locker room! No fridge, kettle or safe. All very basic. There were 4 shared toilets and 3 shared showers per floor, all of varying sizes - these were 40 paces away from our room so a hassle in the night. Shower water didn’t drain which was not pleasant. Would recommend bringing slippers/flip flops for walking between room and bathrooms. Unlikely to stay here again. Absalon Hotel Guest Relations, Gæsteservice/reception at Annex Copenhagen, responded to this review Thank you for your feedback. We understand that you found the accommodations basic, and we would like to clarify that our establishment offers a boutique experience, which may not align with all expectations. Our shared bathroom facilities are stated at the time of booking, and we provide several toilets and showers on each floor to ensure availability and convenience for our guests. If any issues arise, such as the shower drainage problem you mentioned, we always encourage guests to inform reception at Absalon Hotel so we can address and resolve the matter promptly.Additionally, we apologize for the odor you encountered in your room, as cleanliness is a priority for us. We will review this with the HK department.Kind regards,Annex Copenhagen

    Great for the price

    rating30 Jun 2025

I paid £41 per night for a single occupancy room with shared facilities. Location is fantastic, barely a 5 minute walk from central train station, most attractions I visited where a half hours walk. Felt very safe as a solo female traveller. Room and shared bathroom clean, fresh bedding/towels every day. Rooms are basic including bed, a sink and area to hang clothes, there's a communal living area and kitchen down the stairs to the right of the self check-in desk. Kitchen includes a fridge, hob and mini oven, plates, cups, cutlery etc which was really handy. There's also bag storage for a price of roughly 100DKR per hour. Overall really happy with my stay here, couldn't fault it for the price. Absalon Hotel Guest Relations, Gæsteservice/reception at Annex Copenhagen, responded to this review Thank you for taking the time to share your experience.
