  Exceptional stay and service

  Absolutely a wonderful stay. The view of the harbor was stunning. But the service and the attentiveness of our host made it exceptional. From arranging and rearranging airport transportation (even with flight issues), car rental, recommendations for things to do and places to eat….the experience was unmatched and felt like we were in a high quality hotel. A couple of things to keep in mind is that there are quite a number of stairs to get up to the rooms (no elevator) and possibly loud music from the restaurant below until midnight. However in our opinion these small things did not diminish our experience. We would stay there again for the hospitality of Sotiris, stunning views and ease and convenience of the central location. Really a wonderful stay!

  Fabulous Location and Harbour View

  We stayed in Erietta Suites in Chania for 3-nights in early June ($223 Can/night). While our 2-bedroom suite suite was technically on the 1st floor, it towered 3 floors above the promenade restaurants and had unobstructed views of the Old Venetian Harbour and its lighthouse. The flip side of the view, though, was the formidable staircase that seems to continue on forever (44 steps) as you climb to the apartment (after a 300-400 m walk along the cobblestone streets to get there). Be prepared, but the effort is worth it.The apartment was compact, but its design and high ceilings gave an uncramped and comfortable atmosphere. The sitting area, with a desk and chair, sectional sofa and coffee table, was fronted by a small deck with comfortable seating for 3 people. To the side was a small kitchen with stove-top and a good sized fridge (adequate for breakfast preparation, but not dinner), and in the corner an open stairway led to the loft. To the back was the master bedroom, which had a door onto a shared inner courtyard. The second bedroom in the loft was huge, with a small deck with a clothes drying rack over the back courtyard.The location was perfect for exploring old town, close to everything (except the Archeological Museum which has relocated to a suburb). Our host, Antonis, was great in meeting us at the drop off point and helping us getting the luggage to the apartment. He was always available to help with our questions, and to suggest restaurants and sights. The Erietta has an arrangement with the Hotel Porto del Colombo, just behind the apartment, for check-in and breakfasts (€10 pp). Overall, a very special place on the Venetian Harbour at a great price.

  A Brilliant Choice

  We began our day with breakfast on the balcony, enjoying the morning sun glistening over the water in the spectacular port of Chania. Walking out the door you find yourself in a beautiful pedestrian-only cobble stoned street leading you towards elegant shops and traditional restaurants with spectacular food. Each evening, we returned to our elegant 2-level suite with kitchen, great climate control, comfortable beds, and sophisticated furnishings. Erietta allowed us to feel the magnificence of Chania and the magical history of Crete by anticipating every need. Meeting us at the parking lot to assist with our luggage, providing us with recommendations, creating a lounge with wonderful reading material, and responding immediately when we had a need. I will only stay at Erietta when I return to Chania.

  This place is beautiful stunning right on the port of Chania , a very old an historical building completely renew with amazing suites , luxury , modernity and comfort . Was like a dream ... but what was even better , was Antonio , the manager that was extremely helpful meeting us 2 streets Down to take us to the parking place ( we had a rental car ) and Helping is with our luggage ( parking is only 200 meters from hotel and since is right in the port , cars are not allow) . The morning after our delicious breakfast , I went to take some pictures at the port ,alone, and out of the sudden es as big wake hitting the Boardwalk and have a terrible accident in which I broke my ankle , my boyfriend and Antonio came immediately to help me and Antonio was with us the whole Morning taking us to the hospital first and then to a private clinic... he was always at our side , if it was t for human, we don’t know house this would have ended ... Cretan people , to he honest , is the nicest people I have ever met, the hospitality , respect , and a big smile is everywhere, but what Antonio did for Us, was beyond any expectation. One more time , thank you very much Antonio , you are a wonderful human being ! P.s Antonio speaks , as far as I know , German and English

  Incredible Suite with amazing view and lots of hospitality!

  We visited Crete as the second part of our Grece journey. Choosing this Suite was the best we could have done! Antonis greeted us late in the evening on our arrival and helped us finding the apartment and with our luggage. He provided excellent tips about local sites and restaurants. The suite was large and had comfortable beds. The view from the large windows into the old harbor was stunning and left all of us speechless. The only place I would like to stay in Crete to sure!
