  Amazing family resort

  Beautiful resort with massive pool, great food and drinks and wonderful service.This resort is stunning. Great places throughout the resort to relax at the beach, pool and sitting areas for dining and drinks. Cute ice cream cart for the kids along with fun activities. As an all inclusive we were very impressed with how good the dining experience was. Cocktails and wine selection were also great for the adults. Concierge helped us book amazing excursions. Can’t say enough about our stay at Euphoria.

  Almost perfect week’s break for half term

  I’ve tried to come up with negatives and I’m struggling! The location is great, right on the beach in a quiet location. We walked down the beach to the nearby village where there are a couple of cafes and restaurants on a pretty marina twice, and also looked up a couple of 1-2 hour local walks for other days. And it’s a 35 minute bus ride at €3 per person into Chania, which is simply stunning for a 1/2 day visit. We didn’t go in the sea as I’m not a beach person, but it is literally at the end of the swimming pool and overlooked by a couple of the restaurants. We sat by the pool mostly and also used the spa and gym, both of which are well-equipped and we were able to use daily due to the resort being quiet in October. On to food and drinks - the inclusive cocktail menu is extensive and the wine in the restaurants the best we’ve ever had in an all inclusive. Normally the red wine is like vinegar and I stick to rose, but here they were each night giving us full bottles of different local wines to try. There’s also a vitamin bar by the pool which was great post workout. The really enjoyed the food. A good range every night and I struggled most times to know what to pick. I’m not a meat eater but there were always vegetarian options while the rest of my family devoured the meat!When we checked in, we were told the whole hotel was closing the day we were checking out and that the a la carte restaurants were closing gradually. This initially worried us and it did get incredibly quiet as the week progressed and no new people arrived to replace those leaving. However, the hotel handled it really well and I don’t agree with other reviews on this. We were given a visit to each restaurant before they closed, so 3 a la carte meals in a week, and once they were closed, the hotel served 3 a la carte option in addition to the buffet in the main restaurant. My sons were very happy to have a freshly cooked steak 3 nights in a row! The staff also remained upbeat, helpful and eager to please despite probably being totally knackered at this stage in the season.If we went back to Crete, I’d be happy to stay here again.

  dreadful experience

  location is poor. no where to walk to ect. this hotel is classed as a 5 star it is not at all it is more like a 3 star. as the food is terrible.the chicken pork beef are all dried up tasteless. food is cold when you get to table. i have never been anywhere ,where the food is as bad. the only nice food we found was the italian ali carte. this is the only way i can find to respond to the responce what the hotel wrote on here after reading our review. firstly they have lied they daid on our first day we complained about the location THIS IS NOT TRUE we did not arrive until 4.30 inthe early morning, we slept then unpacked thenhad late breakfast, then the rest of the day was finding out what was in the hotel and having a swim in the pool. so get your facts right euphoria. it was after the first day after having 3 meals that we realised how poor the food was and as we were there for 14 days i wanted to move out ,as we paid for a 5 star hotel and the food was only 2 to 3 star .also we never ever said the location we didnt like becuseit was not near barswithin walkingdistanceas we hardly drink. i had about 4 alcholic drinks in 14 dayswhilst we were at your hotel check it out i do not lie . Also you say that it was th e main reason we wanted to leave once again you are LYING. yu know full well the reason we wanted to leave was the terrible food we told at least 4 of your staff that including the jet 2 rep again check that out i do not lie.the numerous complaints youmentioned were about 4 firstly the awful food, then the location, then the safety issue in the shower, and next the very poor entertainment in daytime but mostly nightime . your response did not surprise us as whenever we mentioned anything to you there was always an excuse you made. you will not accept any true complaints. you ought to read all your reviews not just on this site but on others too,and you will see that poor food is the main complaint i can direct you to another big review site that bears this out if you want.i have now got to find a list of all the hotels around that you own and make sure i never ever book in at any of them again

  Not sutable for small children or at Oct half term

  Kids: the 'club' for under 4s needs an adult to accompany.. not what we wanted and not clear on website. Food: whole family got food poisoning from buffet on second last night (we never left the hotel so source is clear). If you go in Oct half term they shut half the restaurants and are literally putting the place away and pressure washing around you... not recommended.Entertainment: on around 9pm is very loud and too late for small children who are in bed trying to sleep, fundamentally the whole place is set up for older kids and was very poor for someone with a 2 and 4 year old.Transfers were unsafe, while not the hotel's problem we bought this as a package, I strongly suggest you dont book via Tui (super aggresive customer service) and go direct if you do want to stay here.

  I often read reviews before going on holiday to get a sense of what to expect, and honestly, I don’t understand the bad reviews about Euphoria Hotel at all, our experience was excellent. We arrived late at night and we were welcomed by the friendly staff. They even offered us the option to have dinner straight away since we arrived just before the restaurant was closing, which was a lovely touch.Our room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable. The hotel itself is large, surrounded by beautiful, well maintained grounds.The water park is fantastic for children, my son had so much fun, Plus, he could help himself to ice cream and drinks whenever he wanted, which was a big hit.The hotel also has a gym with plenty of equipment and strong WiFi throughout.The Gym is always quiet in the morning around 09:00 but very busy in the afternoon.I’m vegetarian and quite a fussy eater, but I was really happy with the food. There was plenty of variety, everything was clearly labelled. Yes, the beach is a pebble beach, but it’s still beautiful and perfect for a nice walk along the shore.I’ve also used the spa a few times and had some massages, which I totally enjoyed and would highly recommend.One area for improvement would be the main pool bar, it would be great to have the same self service option as the water park, as it makes things much easier and more convenient for guests.Also, a note regarding the lifeguards: we noticed that some of them seemed distracted and spent a lot of time on their phones with their heads down. This was a bit concerning, as lifeguards should be attentive at all times, especially around children. The girls were amazing and massive credit to the hotel.Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would definitely recommend Euphoria Hotel to anyone visiting Crete. We’ll absolutely be returning!
