    Wonderful Stay at Filoxenia Beach Hotel

    From the moment we arrived, we received a truly lovely welcome from Eva, who couldn’t do enough for us. She went above and beyond, even recommending and booking us an incredible restaurant that I couldn’t get into myself because it was fully booked. Thanks to her, we had one of the best dining experiences of our trip!The food at the hotel itself was just as memorable. The homemade breakfast was absolutely delicious, and the lunch we enjoyed was also excellent. Everything felt fresh, thoughtful, and full of local flavor.The location is unbeatable — right on the beach — making it the perfect place to relax and soak up the atmosphere. We couldn’t have been more impressed with our stay.We’re already looking forward to visiting again next week!

    Fabulous small hotel

    Such a beautiful hotel we had a fantastic week there.The location is amazing. All the staff were fabulous,nothing too much trouble..Eva the manager was fabulous,so friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast is lovely and plentiful. Plenty of sunbeds and parasols which were free to use and lots of beach towels available all day. This was a great bonus as many places charge for sunbeds etc. Our room was large ,comfortable and very cool with the much needed air conditioning.Shower was a little small but still useable . There are toilets and a shower available at the hotel when you are on the beach or terrace, which saves you having to go back to your room . Rethymno old town about 25 mins walk . We would get a taxi into town and take a slow walk back when it was cooler. Well worth doing as it's a beautiful town and the sunsets at the port are just amazing. All-in all a beautiful relaxing holiday and would certainly recommend Hotel Filoxenia to everybody. Thanks Eva and all the staff for a great week xxx

    From start to finish it was beautiful! Eva and her father were extremely welcoming, absoloutly stunning views amazing food and very accomadating. Walking distance to many shops and restaurants. Will definately be going back for a longer stay next year!!!!!

    Stayed for a week in May.Small family run hotel on the outskirts of Rethimno .Eva and her family are a credit to their business they are all extremely hard working and very friendly.They are all very customer orientated and ensure all guests are satisfied with all aspects of their visit.Our room was clean and tidy and suited our needsAll rooms have sea views and balconies.There is direct access to the pebble beach and a pool is also available.The hotel location suited us fine and was a 1 mile stroll in to the old town.There are a few restaurants nearby for those who don’t want to go in to the old town each evening .I would not hesitate in recommending this hotel to anyone thinking of visiting Rethimno.

    An excellent little hotel with the friendliest staff. Breakfast had a good hot and cold variety and was freshly cooked. Situated a 10/15 minute walk along the flat from the old town, it made for the perfect location. Quiet and peaceful both day and night but with a bustling little town close by. Eva and her staff were friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. As mentioned in other reviews our bathroom was small and I'm not a small guy but it was adequate and I'd rather enjoy my holiday than moan about trivial things. On our final day we had a late flight but the hotel has a shower/ changing room for guests with toiletries and a hair dryer, so we could make the most of our time. I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel and would like to thank Eva and all her staff for making our stay a lovely experience.
