  After the sad death of Kostas, his daughter and the couple Marianthi and Michalis have taken over. The standard remains impeccably high and friendly without being interfering. Very much in the tradition Kostas laid down. Lovely large rooms, and rooms 1 - 3 have a sweeping panorama down to the sea. A gorgeous sheltered garden at the back. I prefer this place to all the others I have seen in Lasithi province: accessible and with a mini-market and restaurants round the corner.

  Clean, well equipped, air-conditioned apartment

  We have just come to the end of a two week stay in these delightful apartments. We were welcomed by Kostas and his team with offers of tea/coffee. The room had a bottle of water in the fridge and cakes for us. A well equipped kitchenette helps when you’re planning to do some self catering and this one fits that description, even a cooker hood to extract the steam and smells of cooking. Only thing lacking was a toaster.The shower room was clean and modern with, again, extractor fan to remove the steam. This was a blessing as it was very hot while we were here. The air conditioning was most welcome.The room was cleaned/serviced daily with fresh linen and towels at frequent intervals.On a couple of days when we chose to stay around the apartment we sat in the shady courtyard and were given ice cream or fruit while we rested there.I would thoroughly recommend Flamingo Apartments and when we come again it will be our first choice

  Comfortable Clean Flamingo Apartments Palekastro Crete

  We booked, via the internet, two nights here in Agathia for the purpose of seeing the area of Itanos, Crete and in particular Vai, the palm backed beach of Bounty Bar fame. We had a very warm welcome by Kostas, Katharine and Ilios, who gave us introductory booklets and offered to carry our bags. The apartment was spotlessly clean(daily service, bright and very well appointed, equipped with cutlery, dishes, cooking pans, fridge, coffee machine, electric kettle, Greek television and wifi. The bathroom fittings and precision tiling looked and worked like new, with a good shower, plenty of hot water and soap included. We were in room 1 on the first floor, which receives the morning sun and has a great view to the north and Chiona beach, 1K distant. We had a small balcony/entrance area with our own table and chairs and there were other external areas under trees with table and chairs to catch the evening sun. You can walk through olive groves to the beach and on the way there is an interesting, extensive Minoan settlement which has been and still is being excavated. We think this location is an excellent centre for exploring the whole region and this village is especially quiet, as it is off the main tourist trail to Vai, yet within 10 minutes walking distance of Palekastro, where there are several good shops and restaurants with traditional Cretan cuisine. We highly recommend this to those seeking tranquility and a good standard of accommodation in a traditional Cretan ambiance.

  Very nice place, clean and friendly environment....Very good service 24/ hour, nice people..In a quite place for relax and peace, the apartments are recently renovated and in a very good price....I strongly recommend for family holidays...

  The apartment was in great condition. We loved the terrace with lovely view in direction of Chiona Beach (about 2 km). We had our breakfast outside and it was great and delivered straight to our apartment. The owner and the staff were helpful and honest without fake smile. The restaurant behind corner offered great and inexpensive food. I would come back.
