Location

Perfect for parents with children, this apartment hotel is situated at the edge of town right next to the city centre and 2 km from the tourist attractions of Rethymnon. The apartment hotel is located just steps from nightlife and shopping.

Facility

Guests have a choice of 84 rooms. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. Guests receive a welcome drink upon arrival. Amenities include a baggage storage service and a safe. Wireless internet access (no extra charge) is provided in public areas. The hotel has wheelchair-accessible facilities. Additional facilities include a playroom. Further services and facilities include a 24-hour security service, a babysitting service (on request and for a fee), a car hire service, medical assistance, a transfer service, an alarm call service, a laundry service and a hotel doctor. A bicycle hire service (for a fee) gives guests the opportunity to explore the surrounding area independently.

Rooms

Rooms feature a living area and a bathroom, and air conditioning ensures just the right temperature. In most units, guests can enjoy a view of the sea from a balcony or terrace. Rooms have a double bed or a king-size bed. Children's beds can be provided at no extra charge upon request. A safe provides secure storage for guests' personal property. The kitchenette comes with a refrigerator, a tea/coffee station and an oven. An ironing set is provided for guests' convenience. A telephone, satellite television, a stereo system and WiFi (no extra charge) are provided as well. Sport

On hot days, guests can go for a refreshing swim in one of 3 pools. There is also a special swimming area for little ones. Sun loungers and parasols on the terrace invite guests to relax and unwind. A variety of refreshing drinks await guests at the pool bar. The apartment hotel offers a variety of outdoor sports, including jogging. For a fee, guests can also enjoy cycling/mountain biking and horse riding. Sport and leisure facilities at the hotel include a gym and table tennis. There is a wellness area with a spa, a sauna and a hammam and, for an additional fee, massage treatments and a Cleopatra bath. Parents can unwind while the kids can participate in an entertainment programme full of fun activities (no extra charge).

Meals

The dining area includes a restaurant and a bar. The hotel offers a wide range of catering options. Bed and breakfast and half board can be booked. A continental breakfast from the buffet or à la carte (also for early birds and late risers) guarantees a great start to the day. At breakfast and lunch, guests can order à la carte. Set menus are available at dinner. Gluten-free meals, vegetarian dishes and lactose-free food are available. The chefs will also prepare children's meals for an additional charge. Baby food is available upon request (free). The apartment hotel also offers snacks. For a fee, there are also non-alcoholic beverages and alcoholic beverages.

    I had an excellent time here at Grecotel Plaza Beach House, 10/10 experience. It is located in Rethymno about a 35 minute walk from Old Town and the beach is across the street so it offers a beautiful view from their restaurant. I have so many wonderful things to say but I will start with the bartender Michael. He is extremely skilled at making drinks that are both delicious and aesthetically pleasing. He has a clear passion for what he does. He always engaged in conversation and was happy to explain different drinks to me and I really enjoyed the rapport we had. Also Kalliopi the receptionist is extremely friendly and approachable. She was extremely helpful in coordinating transportation for us and I really enjoyed talking to her. Finally, Theodoris the maître d’ was very warm and hospitable. He always made a point to come talk to us and was very kind. I will also mention that my boyfriend was sick overnight and they offered to make him soup and checked in with him throughout the day which really meant a lot. The hotel itself is beautiful and well kept, the room was spacious and the housekeepers did a very good job keeping our room clean throughout the week. I’d say you get your money’s worth for sure and the people were what made this stay so special. I definitely recommend this hotel.     Wouldn’t recommend for families with kids .

    This was a let down . We were given the best room in the property supposedly but all the rain water came onto the bedroom floors and it was messy. puddle to walk on .It gets embarrassing to call housekeeping every so often to clean up the puddles .The upstairs bedroom has no view . Only the main bedroom has the beach view . There was absolutley no entertainment at the hotel except outdoor table tennis Which couldn’t be used due to the rains .During low season It would have been nice to provide some activities and entertainment . Rooms didn’t have any booklet with info regarding activities or entertainment .The wifi doesn’t work without a boaster which the front desk doesn’t give by default . You have to ask For it . If they knew the WiFi isn’t great then why not provide it while checking in ?Would not recommend this esp for families with kids .     First I would like to recognize the staff members that stood out and made our vacation enjoyable..Kalliope (front desk ), Michalis (bartender), Mr Theo (maitre) , Vaso (server) and the household staff . The rooms were well stocked and cleaned..The great scenery and amenities compromised by the hotel perfect..Made it cozy and relaxing..The stay was better than we expected..     We went middle’s march and even in the off season it was amazing! The hotel right in front of a beautiful beach with turtles protection, comfortable rooms with AC and no noise at all, an amazing food service in the restaurant, with friendly, attentive staff and our cat friend Manoli!
