Location

Perfect for business travellers as well as families, this airport hotel is situated in a pleasantly quiet, car-free zone approximately 18.3 km from the centre of Gouves. The club is located just steps from nightlife and shopping.

Facility

The hotel was modernised in 2023. 99 rooms, including 32 junior suites and 40 double rooms, are available to guests in a 2-storey main building and a 2-storey auxiliary building. The friendly staff at the reception desk in the lobby are happy to answer any questions. Guests receive a welcome drink upon arrival. Amenities include a baggage storage service, a safe and a currency exchange service. Wireless internet access (no extra charge) is provided in public areas. A garden provides extra space for rest and relaxation in the open air. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage (for a fee) or in the car park (no extra charge). Other services include a babysitting service on request, a car hire service, medical assistance, a transfer service, room service, an alarm call service, a laundry service and a hotel doctor. Cyclists can make use of the bicycle storage area and hire service (for a fee). A business centre with fax machine, projector, a flip chart and pens and photocopier is available.

Rooms

Air conditioning and central heating ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. A balcony is included as standard in some rooms. The rooms have a king-size bed and a sofa bed. Extra beds and children's beds are available upon request and for a fee. Valuables can be securely stored in a safe for an additional charge. Additional features include a refrigerator, a mini fridge and a tea/coffee station. An ironing set is provided for guests' convenience. A telephone, satellite television, a plug adapter, an alarm clock and WiFi (no extra charge) are provided as well. Bathrooms are equipped with a shower, a bathtub and a baby bath. A hairdryer, a vanity mirror, bathrobes and a telephone are provided. For extra comfort in the bathrooms, guests are offered cosmetic products. Guests can also book wheelchair-friendly rooms with wheelchair-accessible bathrooms. The hotel has 4 family rooms, non-smoking rooms and smoking rooms.

Sport

While the adults swim a few laps in the outdoor pool, children can enjoy splashing about in their own swimming area. A short break or an entire afternoon on the sun terrace, which features sun loungers and parasols, is time well spent. Refreshing drinks are served at the poolside snack bar. A variety of activities are available at the club, for example beach volleyball and jogging or, for a fee, cycling/mountain biking, tennis, golf, fishing and horse riding. With diving or, for a fee, jet skiing, motorboat rides, paddle boating, sailing and snorkelling available, fans of water sports have plenty of options to choose from. For an additional fee, guests can also choose from billiards, yoga and pilates. A wellness area with massage treatments is available at the hotel. Activity coordinators organise an entertainment programme for adults and children (no extra charge).

Meals

Dining facilities include a restaurant, a café and a bar. Catering options include bed and breakfast and half board. Breakfast, a lunch à la carte and dinner delight guests with culinary treats and a wide variety of dishes. Gluten-free meals, vegetarian dishes and lactose-free food can be prepared on request. The hotel also offers snacks. The show cooking is a particularly special attraction. For a fee, there are also non-alcoholic beverages and international brands.

    Came here on the 7th oct for 9 nightGreat hotel, the staff were very nice and helpful We went all-inclusive The food was good always something to eatThe drinks are nice At night the lady on the bar at night works very hardWe had room 413 with its own little pool good for when it got to hotThere is a little fridge in the room as wellThere is a great little shop 2 mins walk from the hotel We are looking to book for next year

    Not great! The rooms was fine clean tidy plenty of space huge balcony over looking gardens and a view of the sea rooms cleaned every day water provided daily did miss out a couple of days with fresh towels dont know why?The food was very mediocre there was always something to eat it was very mish mash mostly themed nights but it didn't really follow very wellThe drinks on all inclusive wasnt the greatest selection ever the cocktails were all bitter no nice ones Close to the beach but the beach was very busy and sea is very choppy Staff was great welcomed with homemade lemonade very tasty Don't think I woukd return

    The hotel it's self was nice. The rooms were a bit basic but comfortable and bright. The AI aspect of the hotel is shocking. They have a beautiful outside area where you can have breakfast, but the choice is minimal, and hot stuff is normally cold! The only other choice is the main buffet restaurant which is so hot and stuffy its uncomfortable. There is a big menu at the outside area which you can have at lunch time, however if you are AI then all you can have is a cheese and ham toasty, club sandwich with fries, or a crepe. But if you ask for fries with the cheese and ham sandwich then you get charged for them??? The food in the main restaurant was awful, again, no aircon on in there despite there being a huge great unit. The only decent food we had in the hotel was at the a la carte restaurant. Out of the 7 days we were there we ate out 4 nights. The staff were all very friendly, very helpful and polite. The hotel grounds and pool area are all very nice. Although they serve drinks in glasses round the pool, and one day one of the waiters dropped a whole tray of glasses which smashed and fell into the pool! Plastic would be a much better idea!No need to get up at silly o'clock to get a sunbed which was nice. I would return, however it would have to be self catering.

    We returned to this hotel after first visit last October and it did not disappoint as we were worried if it would be as good for second visit Staff so friendly and helpful the receptionist Anna and her colleagues could t do enough all the bar staff and they remembered us which was a nice touch Any issues delay with swiftly Will be rebooking for next year

    Wonderful relaxing week at the Hara Ilios

    Great family-run hotel that offers good quality food, quiet*, calm accommodation and a friendly welcome. The rooms and gardens are clean, modern and well maintained. The pool is a good size with plenty of sunbeds and seating. As a solo, female traveller I felt safe and well cared for. The beach is an easy walk of only about 150m. The hotel also offers a fabulous massage and reflexology service run by Stamatis - I indulged in a number of treatments during my stay and I highly recommend him and his assistant.*The hotel is on the arrival path to Heraklion airport so if aircraft bother you then please be aware.
