  This place is family run by some wonderful people. They were a joy to interact with. The pool was nice and clean. It's budget friendly which is a blessing when traveling with a strict budget. I would definitely stay here again.

  Our lovely summer 2021 in Kokkini Hani!.

  We enjoyed our quite long stay in Haris Apartments in Kokkini Hani in july and august 2021. We were also very lucky to have an apartment in front, with a really spectacular view. The location of Haris Apartments is really superb, with a good supermarket, a few good bakeries, cafes as well as some good restaurants, grill houses and pizzerias, all within walking distance. Heraklion is just about 25 minutes away with the local bus. The same bus also stops at the Heraklion International Airport on the way to Heraklion. We would like to take this opportunity to thank the friendly owners of Haris apartments, Mr. Haris and Madam Maria and their children, for their kind and warm hospitality, during our memorable stay in Kokkini Hani. We will return.👍👍

  An apartment with a really stunning view!

  The (quite basic) apartment we had was spacious enough for two persons. A friendly and helpful mother and son team who is apparently running the whole business including the snacks cafe (which is also catering for the visitors to the small beach in front or to the swimming pool). Quite a few times, we even got delicious and complimentary home-made cake, baked by the matriach of the family herself, when we had our morning or afternoon drinks. The son also gave us a complimentary ride back to the Heraklion airport. We will return!.✌✌

  Basic apartments; but with a stunning view!

  We stayed one month in Haris Apartments in July 2020; although high season, due to Covid-19 we were most of the time the only guests. Haris is run by a friendly family and consists of 15 studio's/apartments on 3 floors. We booked the largest apartment on the highest (2nd) floor with a stunning seaview and sunset. The apartment itself is, regarding the size, for 2 people just OK, and quite basic (and could need some upgrading/maintenance). The kitchen is only equipped with the minimum of necessities (no oven, toaster, etc) but for preparing breakfasts and simple lunch it is fine; for dinner we went out all nights. In front of the apartments there is a nice, well maintained, swimming pool with sunbeds/umbrellas; on most days some local families/children came to realx and play, and a cafe with drinks and snacks (great coffees and milkshakes). From the café it is 10 meters to the "beach" which is a very small strip of sand. There are beds/umbrellas there as well, for free for the guests of Haris, and for others for free if you order some drinks. Because of the stones in the Sea bring your sea-shoes with you. From the back of the apartments it is 100 m to the main road, so the only sound you hear at night in your apartment is the very relaxing sound of the waves. Opposite Haris, on the main road, there is a large supermarket and 20 meters further a great bakery shop. Nearby Haris there are at least 7 good restaurants, most with some fresh fish dishes (other with frozen fish dishes), some with great seafront locations, others in romantic garden settings. On the main road there is a regular bus service to Heraklion; from Heraklion Airport it is by taxi/car just a 10 minutes drive (20 E) to Haris. Due to Covid-19 we decided not to travel around to other places/islands and we had a great, relaxing time in Haris; we will definitely come back.

  Arrived about 10pm, friendly welcome, shown to our apartment which we thought was a bit basic. Over the week we came to enjoy the apartment, especially our long balcony which got the sun from before 2pmm until it set. Nice swimming pool & its own section of beach, 50yards from main street, the location is ideal.Kokkini Hani is a beautiful village but unfortunately local businesses are struggling due to at least 3 large all inclusive hotels.If you are looking for a small inexpensive, friendly hotel in an ideal location give Haris a try.
