Location

This apartment complex is located in Malia, a coastal city about 34 km to the west of Iraklion. Malia offers guests a large selection of tourist and other facilities, and is the ideal place for those holidaymakers seeking intense nightlife. Malia has one of the longest stretches of beach in Crete, which actually starts from the small town of Stalis west of Malia and extends for more than 4 km to the east. The beach is well organised and offers all amenities guests could wish for. Heraklion lies about 35 km from the hotel.

Facility

The resort was modernised in 2022. The multilingual staff at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. Amenities include a baggage storage service and a safe. Wireless internet access (no extra charge) allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. A lift and wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. Souvenirs can be purchased at the gift shop. The grounds of the resort feature a playground and a lovely garden. Additional amenities include a playroom and a library. Further services and facilities include a babysitting service (on request and for a fee), a car hire service, a transfer service, room service (for a fee), an alarm call service, a laundry service, a page service and a hotel doctor. Rooms

Rooms are equipped with air conditioning and central heating. Guests can relax and enjoy the sea views from the balcony or private terrace of some rooms. The rooms have a queen-size bed and a sofa bed. Separate bedrooms are available. Extra beds and children's beds are available upon request and for a fee. A desk, and for a fee, a safe and a minibar are also available. Additional features include a refrigerator, a mini fridge and a tea/coffee station. An ironing set is provided for guests' convenience. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels and WiFi (for a fee) are provided as well. Slippers are included. Bathrooms are equipped with a shower, a bathtub and a whirlpool bath. A hairdryer, a vanity mirror, bathrobes and a telephone are available for daily use. The resort has family rooms and non-smoking rooms.

Sport

While the adults swim a few laps in the outdoor pool, children can enjoy splashing about in their own swimming area. Guests can treat themselves to refreshing drinks at the poolside snack bar and a relaxing soak in the hot tub. A short break or an entire afternoon on the sun terrace, which features sun loungers and parasols, is time well spent. For those who wish to stay active while on holiday, the resort offers jogging. The resort offers numerous indoor sports, including table tennis, billiards, darts, yoga, callisthenics and pilates or, for a fee, a gym. The resort offers a range of facilities in the wellness area. Options include a steam bath and, for an additional fee, a spa, a sauna, a hammam, a beauty salon and massage treatments. Third-party operators offer a spa, beauty salon and massage treatments. Guests can enjoy a range of leisure facilities and activities, including an entertainment programme and live music.

Meals

The dining area includes a dining room. Guests can indulge their palates at the restaurant (non-smoking, a buffet and à la carte). Refreshing drinks at the beach bar are a perfect way to enjoy warm weather. Catering options include all-inclusive and all-inclusive special. All-inclusive holidaymakers enjoy special extras like snacks, children's meals and vegetarian dishes, in addition to a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. A delicious and varied buffet awaits guests at breakfast, lunch and dinner. Gluten-free meals and lactose-free food can be prepared on request.     Overall, it’s a nice hotel to stay at. Very close to the train station and right in the middle of the city. The room is reasonably comfortable though the lighting could be improved. We booked breakfast during our stay and for our first day, we arrived at 9.30 and there’s hardly any hot food left, and they weren’t topping up either (considering breakfast is until 10am). Arrived a bit earlier the next day and still there’s not a lot of food left - kinda disappointing. Apart from that, we enjoyed our stay.     I come every year to the NH Bergamo, and it is always a mini vacation. The location is very conveniently located, the service is excellent, and the breakfast buffet a treat. The rooms are very quiet, but one is quickly in the buzz of the Citta Bassa. What else can one ask for?     Excellent hotel, as a solo female traveller I felt safe. Excellent location for trains and buses. Comfiest hotel bed i have ever slept in. Rooms have all the amenities you would require. You will need a European adaptor as no USB sockets but not an issue. Breakfast is plentiful and delicious. Also had some free water in my room. Highly recommend this hotel.     We had a great stay for three nights in this hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. Great location, and within walking distance to many great restaurants and shops. If travelling with children, we highly recommend the Impossible Museum, just across the street from the hotel entrance. Very fun for the whole family!
