    If you like rude and indifferent, this is the place for you!

    I have traveled extensively across Europe and this was the worst hotel experience I have had, no exceptions. The staff was completely unhelpful and rude. They have parking but it will not accommodate anything beyond a very small car. We asked to check in and were refused. Finding parking in the city was a nightmare. We asked for directions, but the directions we were given were wrong. A pleasant local finally helped us, so we were able to find a parking garage. We then had to haul our luggage 1/2 a mile. The hotel could have 1) let us check in so we did not haul our luggage 2) gotten a map out and circled where parking was 3) had a valet 4) even held on to our luggage when we found parking. They then asked when we finally got there about 45 mins later… how was everything… I said not great… they then proceeded to talk about us in German in front of us. Luckily we only stayed one night. We have visited 5 other hotels in Germany alone, the rest were all amazing…. A low point in an otherwise great trip.

    It is a historical hotel and from the hotel you can see the beautiful wall tower. It is with old time charm and beautiful wood. Leo Tolstoy stayed there for a night. The superior room is big and modern. The breakfast is varied and nice. The old city centre of Eisenach is very small and you can just walk to places of interests very easily. There are a few nice restaurants next to the hotel. When we were there, the hotel is full but we didn't have any problem in parking there. I would highly recommend it when I go to Eisenach next time.     Good location...Nice architecture... The room itself felt a bit clinical and too modern in comparison to the rest of the historic building. Some nice bars and restaurants are just in front of Karlsplatz. Good value for money. Only downside were the parking facilities offered by the hotel - too small and too less.However we would go again if in Eisenach.

    Our arrival and parking went smoothly. The receptionist was very welcoming and had handwritten a welcome greeting for us. The room as well as the bathroom were fine and spacious. The cleaning was below our expectation. I guess the room had been left unused for a while because of Covid-19, beccause the soap by the bath had been dripping for a while and had left a large lump of soap in the tub, and it was still there when we left the hotel after a week. It was possible to opt no cleaning, but even though we did not opt that, one day we came back to a room that had not been cleaned even though we had been away from before 10am until around 7pm.The breakfast was below expectation and the service hopeless. No one came on their own initiative and asked if we wanted coffee or anything else. If we managed to attract a waiter's attention and ask for coffee, we was usually given a jug from another table. The coffee therefore did not taste freshly brewed and in addition the handle on the jug should have been dried off before it was passed on to us. The buffet was (also due to Covid-19) replaced by serving cafeteria-like and the waiters had trouble serving what was requested.All in all, I had expected that both cleaning and service was better at a four star hotel. Nevertheless, we will again sensitize our staff to your points of criticism.
