  Lovely little hotel

  We visited this hotel for the first time this year and had a lovely time there. It's a small family run hotel, and we found the staff to be very polite and helpful. The room was comfortable and clean. It looked to have been recently refurbished and has a nice little balcony to sit out on. No TV, but we never needed one anyway.The outside pool was lovely, and the snack bar was very nice too.The buffet breakfast was basic, but well presented and the staff were more than happy to cook things like omelettes and bacon for you.Air conditioning and safe keys cost extra, though that was shown quite clearly, when we booked, so there is no complaint there. It's just something to be aware of before you book, just to manage expectations. They also offer a late check out if required, for a small extra charge, which let's you stay in the room until 6pm, which we found very handy, with having an evening pick up.The hotel itself is ideally placed for both the amazing old town restaurants, and the lively main street, both of which can be reached within a five minute walk.I would stay here again without hesitation

  Mediocre hotel in a perfect area

  Me and my partner stayed here for a week and it was mediocre. The hotels location was the best part about our stay here, it’s on the strip and within walking distance to some fantastic restaurants and only 10 minutes from the beaches. The breakfast ‘buffet’ was nothing to be amazed over, it was a selection of bland cereal, toast, a few bits of fruit and eggs, the advertisement of a ‘full continental buffet’ is quite the stretch. I’d recommend going to Mr Dish’s next door, fantastic food and brilliant service. The first day we arrived we’d noticed our shower was broken, we asked if someone could have a look to which they said they weren't sure how to fix it as they were new, the gentleman told us he would be back to fix it and never returned- we’re lucky we managed to fix it ourselves. I wouldn’t give appraisal to the cleaners either, on two separate occasions they came in whilst we were asleep or getting changed and they only emptied our bathroom bin once, this was quite agitating considering the bin was overflowing with soiled tissues.A few nights into our stay, the fire alarm went off at 11pm, we shot up out of bed and went out to ask the staff what was happening. The older lady at the hotel walked straight past me with a foul look on her face, quite unprofessional and rude in my opinion.Another night, we were leaving our room at around 10:30pm to which, who I assume was the ‘security guard’ told us to keep the noise down, we were by no means being loud and I believe a lot of the staff are just miserable about people going out at night and coming back late, which is ironic as the hotel is located in party central. The room itself was okay, no amenities to make a cuppa or watch television, it was quite bog standard and nothing to rave over. The bed was incredibly uncomfortable and the only one good night of sleep we got was when we were drunk.Overall, we’d love to come back to Malia in the future and stay somewhere close by as the area was perfect, the hotel had too many problems during the week for us to ever want to come back though. I’d recommend looking elsewhere in the local area.

  Had a fantastic 7 days here had a superior room fantastic loved the room. Bed and breakfast was great the staff are great can’t do enough for you . Pool area really nice food great drinks great can’t fault this place will definitely be back . Been to Greece 50 plus times and I put this hotel in my top 5

  Absolutely brilliant break a hidden gem! Family run and exceptional service. Very clean. Great advice on trips and where to visit. Have booked my next trip and I haven’t left Crete yet!!

  Stayed here for 9 nights beginning of September, lovely room ( could do with a full length mirror for getting ready though) family who run it lovely people, great location to strip and old town, if I go back to Malia I'd definitely stay here again. Food around pool really nice and reasonable prices,plenty comfortable sun beds round the pool which is a bonus.
