  We spent five nights in Margot House. The room was big, air conditioning is provided but air is coming from both sides, maintaining the room constantly aired. It is also very clean and towels are changed every two days. Also the staff comes every day to empty the baskets. Shower is huge. Fridge is big and also has a great freezer with ice pad and a small but resourceful kitchen (plates, glasses, kettle) kit provided. Staff is very friendly and takes care of all needs. Very good value for money. Location is perfect as it is at one very quiet side of Paleocastro: this allows to enjoy the village without having to bear the traffic and the noise. It is also perfect if you want to visit Vai beach and all the others on that coastline.. We definitely recommend it.

  Perfect Place to explore the east of crete!

  The place is very clean and Manos and his wife are very friendly. helpful and easy with everything (inluding check-in and -out). The rooms are big enough and the shower is very nice and big (eventhough there is no curtain, which you actually don't need). Towels are provided and refreshed every 2nd day I think. The place was very nice to explore the east with beautiful beaches and nice villages. I definitly recommend this place to stay! Manos is a perfect guide and speaks german, english. He helps in every way and is very fast with contact.

  Big and clean rooms with nice view over the village and the mountains, conveniently located near Palekastro main street. The owners were very friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Manos who got out of his way to give us detailed travel information for hiking, assistance and care, made our stay pleasant!The hotel sits at the village side and it is a little walk (400m) to the center of Palekastro and most of the restaurants, even it is not a long walk to the famous Kouremenos and Hiona Beach (2km). However, the surroundings of the place are not very developed. There were other couples and customers choosing House Margot for their holidays in the last 10 or 20 years.Breakfast was more than good: juices, yoghurt, feta, cheese, olives, local tomatoes, honey, fruits and all this by 5 euros.Families with small children and younger couples are probably the ones who would enjoy this place the most. Since it's quiet, nice scenery and safe.

  The family was nice, but unfortunately the stay was like participating in a childrens´ game - "playing hotel". The building was poorly planned; in order to get some refreshing air into the room we had to open the back door out to a common balcony, accessible to anyone.The promised breakfast youghurt didn't appear, not the first morning, nor later. For the first time in Crete we didn't even get soap...

  Nice people and large rooms. Staff were helpful in various situations and polite. Spacious Rooms with Fridge and free internet access in the rooms. Also convenient location in Palekastro village.Palekastro is in a very windy area sometimes, but helps to sleep when it's hot.
