    Hydramis Palace Beach Resort

    rating23 Oct 2025

A good hotel, but definitely not 5 star. The rooms are a bit outdated, and the bathrooms could do with a thorough clean…only because the shower had some mould in the grouting. We had the all inclusive option, and whilst the food was decent, the alcoholic drinks were awful. It tasted cheap, and there was not a great variety. The reception staff were great and very welcoming, as were the restaurant staff, even the cleaners were great, but the bar staff were awful, both inside at reception, and at the pool bar. They were not friendly, and seemed to grudgingly pour our drinks. We ended up buying the nicer drinks.Overall, it was a decent experience, but I wouldn’t do the all inclusive option again.

Not a 5 stars at all

    rating01 Oct 2025

Where did you get your 5 stars rating?I experienced real 5 stars hotels and you are very far from the expectations of such an hotel. The rooms are old and my bed was a hard sofa bed. The bar staff cannot handle the number of orders and suddenly got mad at us and quite disrespectful. 5 stars you said?.. no way you can even reach a 4 stars level. Dimitris Malamis, Γενικός Διευθυντής at Hydramis Palace Beach Resort, responded to this review Dear Sir,Thank you for taking the time to share your comments. We sincerely apologize that your stay did not meet your expectations. We understand how important comfort and room quality are, and we are sorry that your experience did not meet the 5-star standards we strive to offer. Please be advised that we are currently reviewing your comments with all of our staff to ensure that the necessary improvements are made.We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back and offer you the exceptional stay you deserve.Sincerely,Najeh AyedHotel Manager

I think some of the reviews are very unfair to the hotel and its staff. The hotel is very nice, clean, and pleasant. The vegetation and views are stunning. The food is delicious, with a wide selection of sweets and various cakes. Breakfast is also delicious. There's only one pool, which I initially thought would be insufficient, but it's perfectly adequate. Some imported drinks have to be paid for separately, but the ones included in the All Inclusive offer are, in my opinion, sufficient. The animator is an incredibly positive and hilarious person, who cheers guests up with his presence, he is very friendly, and is able to encourage guests to participate in various activities (such as water gymnastics or beach volleyball). The evenings are also worth mentioning; there are attractions almost every evening (e.g., live music or a beach party). The rooms are as pictured. They may not be modern, but above all, they are neat and comfortable (bed linen and towels are changed regularly every other day, and the room is cleaned daily—nothing to complain about). As for the beach, it's also beautiful, with warm and clean water. It's worth wearing water shoes, but that's common in Greece. In summary, I can recommend this hotel with a clear conscience. Reading some of the reviews, I was worried it would be quite bad, but it's actually very nice. A Positive Experience Despite Minor Drawbacks

    rating31 Jul 2025

Our first impression on the day of arrival was negative due to many small issues, but everything got better over the next few days. In the end, we did not regret choosing this hotel. It matches the description, and the photos accurately represent the room and the hotel grounds. The staff is very polite and pleasant. Although the furniture in the rooms is old, the rooms are clean, tidy, and regularly cleaned. The hotel has a beautiful territory with seating areas and lots of greenery. There is internet coverage throughout most of the area, with a strong signal and high speed. The food was okay — there was a wide selection, although we wouldn’t say it was very tasty. Drinks in the restaurant are self-serve only in the morning. Coffee and tea are available only during breakfast. Cola, lemonade, and alcohol are available at lunch, dinner, and throughout the day at the bar. The juices were of very low quality and not enjoyable to drink. There were some aspects that left a very negative impression. When we arrived, we were quite shocked by the very high ecological tax — €15 per night. Check-in is only after 3:00 PM (although they try to check you in earlier, around 12:00 PM), and check-out is in the morning — meaning you essentially lose both the first and last day, as you receive your wristbands only after check-in. Without them, you can’t access the hotel’s facilities (drinks, restaurant, pools, beach loungers). There are plenty of loungers, but they are often reserved with towels. Although it says they will be removed if left unattended, in reality, this doesn’t happen. The bathroom is stocked with soap, gels, towels, and a hairdryer, but only solid soap is provided, and it was of very low quality. In conclusion, despite many small drawbacks, this hotel left a very positive impression overall — thanks to the quality, the sea, the hotel grounds, and the service.A few additional notes: the safe is not included in the price (it costs €22). The sea is very clean and has fairly large waves. The beach is very rocky — we are used to such beaches, but I recommend bringing comfortable aqua shoes. There is also a neighboring beach nearby which is cleaned of stones and has mostly sand. Dimitris Malamis, Γενικός Διευθυντής at Hydramis Palace Beach Resort, responded to this review Dear Guest,Thank you for taking the time to write this review. Please be assured that we appreciate any criticism that helps us improve our services also, we respect all comments and points of view.I would like to clarify a point you mentioned regarding environmental taxes: they came into effect on January 2, 2024, and have been introduced in all Greek hotels. There is nothing we can do to change it, and we do agree with you completely. The second issue concerns check-in. We do our best to allow check-in before 3 p.m., but in the meantime, you can access the pool, the beach, and a luggage room with showers so you can change your clothes, put on your swimsuit, and enjoy the beach or pool until your room is ready. We appreciate your honesty, and look forward to welcoming you back soon.Best RegardsNajeh AyedHotel Supervisor
