  Reception service doesn't exist. It would be better not to exist at all in order not to have any expectations. No specific deadline for both check- in and check out provided. We were wandering across the island for hours until we were informed that we can finally have our check in.At least, this hotel provides nice view and satisfying housekeeping.

  A quiet place for relax

  The hotel is situated in a quiet suburb of Chania. It takes 15 minutes by car to get to the center. We lived in a sea-view studio for 3 persons, a "terracote" one. It is on the second floor. The apartment is cozy, tidy and well-equiped. Large windows have blackout curtains and shutters. We don't use A/C because it blows right to the bed. As for me, mattress and pillows are very comfortable. The nearest beach is sandy and clean, it's in 400 meters from the house. There is a surf spot at the next beach on the left. There is a supermarket ΑΒ Βασιλόπουλος in 5 minutes' walk. We didn't cook much. We used to dinner in Kedrissos Hotel, it's in a 10 minutes' walk. Thank for all, who took care of us! I have an allergy and asked to use laundry detergents without fragrance. They solved this problem, I felt great :)

  So wonderful vacation !

  It's so many good words could be said about Ilona apt and it seems they all are said in the previous reviews. We visited this place 5 years ago and found that it was renovated and it was done a lot of improvements. The bed with good linen is soft, the lamps above it are good for reading and clean towels are provided as often as necessary. Besides a coffeemaker and a toaster, there is a good set of cups, dishes and pans which help a lot if you'd like to cook. If you need something more just ask Antigoni, Irini and Danaja, they all are very friendly, hospitable and always glad to help. The supermarket Vasilopoulos, Bakery with the tastiest Cretan tiropitas and Monterno with its fantastic cakes are nearby. If you forget something necessary at home you could find it in Jumbo.Georgios the owner is a generous and kind man so maybe because of that he becomes younger year after year. He meets us with a tasty welcome drink and gave us a bottle of raki saying goodbye, and special thanks for siki/figs, they are fantastic! And your oranges can't be compared with those from supermarket :) Thank you, dear friends, for your hard and efficient everyday work to make our vacation so relaxed and comfy. Your place has a great warm atmosphere of Cretan hospitality and family kindness.No doubt we come again!

  Handy for the bus into the centre

  We stayed here for a short break, room was very clean, basic kitchen with cups, plates, pans etc. also a fridge, but no tea, coffee provided.No where nearby to walk to to get a meal, but regular buses to the centre of town, so not really a problem.A small bottle of raki when we checked out.

  Fantastic stay at Ilona

  Our family of 4 just stayed at this hotel for 12 nights. This is a great family run establishment. From the moment we arrived, we felt at home. The owner is present everyday and provides all of his guests with a selection of fruits and vegetables to take back to their unit. The rooftop patio is fantastic and has a grill that we were welcome to use. A fully stocked first aid kit was handy when we had to tend to my sons injury. When asked where the nearest laundromat in town was , they put my laundry in there washer and did it for me. All without hesitation!!I highly recommend this place if you want to stay in this area of Chania. The nearest beach is 150metres away and is excellent. Should I return to Chania, I will return to Ilona. Truly, Cretan hospitality at its finest !
