    I have just had a wonderful experience at the Julia, I booked through Booking.Com and paid less than £180 for a week room only.Very spacious room, I was in room 12 overlooking the courtyard, 2 single beds , bathroom with shower, kitchen area with fridge, excellent air conditioner and safe All included in the price I had late checkout at no extra charge !The family are fantastic, so welcoming and accommodating.I ate there one night and the stiffado was really nice , small beer, breads , dips, main and sweet and raki for less than 11€ This place is a gem and exceeded all my expectations

    Recently spent 2 weeks at the Julia Apartments and what a little gemA budget apartment block but with great facilities, little kitchenette with kettle, Toaster, 2 ring hob and fridge with ice box together with enough cutlery and crockery.Lovely and clean on arrival and rooms cleaned and fresh linen and towels every other day.We had a room with an almost private large terrace and this was perfect as my partner spent long hot days sitting outside at the apartment Great Location as everything on the door step, beach only a short walk away and they do have a terrace with small poolNo hills to worry about it’s a nice flat areaPlenty of shops Bars and Restaurants within a few minutes walkVery nice owners with a Taverna on site, also a very nice garden setting

    My Sister and I have just come back from a great holiday in Rethymno and stayed in the brilliantly located Julia Apartments. Brenda and Vassilis were so friendly and welcoming and helped us with our many questions about the area. Our chats and a pint at the bar on return from the beach or a trip become a lovely routine of our holiday! Our Apartment was spacious and spotless, with great cleaning and towel service. With a taxi rank around the corner, the bus stop across the road, Lidl behind the apartment block, 3 min walk to a beautiful beach, and many lovely restaurants, bars, etc., including their own gorgeous Garden Taverna, this is the place to go. We would highly recommended it and hope to return in the future. Show less

    Best holiday ever

    It was a perfect holiday in Julia Apartments. Friendly owners, clean and equipped room, good price and very good location. Bus stop is opposite the apartments and Rethymno Old Port is 15 minutes by bus. (The busses run from morning until 24.00 twice in an hour, in the peak season, ticket price is 1,50€ in 2017) There are many shops, tavernas, travel agents near the apartments. All of my excursions started from here. Some of them by travel agent (Balos-Gramvousa, Elafonissi, Santorini) and the rest of them individual by public transportation (Plakias-Preveli, Chania, Rethymno). Beach is situated 300 m from the apartments. Long sandy- and pebble-beach with sunbeds, umbrellas, buffets, toiletts and showers.Many thanks for Vassiliss, and Brenda for all of their kindness. I'm sure, I will come back next time again.

    I have been here twice with my daughter and grand daughters. My daughter and her daughter found it on line and have been here three times. This year I brought a friend. She has already booked it for her daughter and three grand children for August. The garden is amazing. Brenda and Vassilis are as welcoming as you could get and will help you with anything you need. We had a broken fridge. Replaced immediately. We had a WiFi problem from our apartment. Booster immediately installed. A Vassilis' breakfast is hard to beat!! Five minutes from the sea and from a large and lovely hotel pool you can use for free. Apartments cleaned beautifully every two days by a lovely lady whose name I'm ashamed I can't remember.If you want value for money in Platanias, this is the place to go. Highly recommended.
