  We had an amazing stay at Kastro Beach Apartments! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel so welcome and at home. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and always ready with a smile – nothing was ever too much trouble.A huge thank you to Georgia and Nikos, who run everything so perfectly, and to Tony, Stathis, Lukas, Freddie, and Rando – every one of them was fantastic and really made our stay special. The apartments were clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The atmosphere was relaxed and inviting, and the location was ideal for enjoying the beach and local restaurants.We can’t recommend Kastro Beach Apartments highly enough – it’s the perfect place to unwind and experience genuine Greek hospitality.   Wow ! BOOM! 🙌Kastro Beach Apartments with Charlies Bar in Malia, CreteI am writing this review because I believe that if something is this special we should tell everyone. What's in this for me? Just good memories. You give love when you get love. ❤️🤔 The best time I find to review your holiday is some weeks after returning home to allow proper reflection time. When all is done and the tan has faded, what we have left are the memories that remain with us. So who makes those memories? Ultimately, we do and they are based on how others made you feel during your holiday. ☺️ So let me tell you how great the people, at Kastro beach apartments and Charlies bar helped to make some of the best memories that we have ever had from a holiday. Firstly, after visiting the place previously with my firefighting colleagues 3 times before, I knew that my wife and children would also fall in love with the place, like I had. It wasn't just the family run vibe that radiated around the complex, that made us all feel special, it was the warm greetings every time we left, every time we arrived back and the genuine interest on how our holiday was going. Everyone who visits this place, is made to feel like a v.i.p, whether you're staying there or simply visiting for one of their evening events. Kastro beach apartments offers some great food throughout the day. The breakfast, lunch and evening menus offer an excellent choice of restaurant quality food, so if you want to stay in for food, you'll not be disappointed. Walking around Malia I knew that the other kind & friendly greek business owners would welcome and look after my family.....and they did. What do you fancy to eat tonught?? Anything! You are spoilt for choice with different restaurants catering for everyone, including THE AMAZING SOFRA FAMILY RESTAURANT. This friendly place, has been running for generations and with an extensive menu, serves the most deliciously freshly cooked Greek dishes plus a load more. If you go there for a meal early in your holiday you're guaranteed to return before you leave!! Malia today has a chilled, friendly vibe running through it where people young and old can choose to relax, explore the culture, then party into the night. We booked the accommodation direct and Nikos kindly arranged the transfer from the Heraklion airport. After a short 20 minute transfer we arrived and were instantly greeted with smiles and a few unexpected welcome drinks. The rooms we had were spacious and there were gorgeous views of the mountains at the back and the beach at the front. The rooms are very clean, with air-conditioning, decent sized tv's, with satellite channels plus all the usual app,'s, like Netflix, etc. There were plenty of plug points, excellent wifi coverage. There was a kitchenette, with kettle, fridge, dining table plus a clean modern bathroom and so much more! Perfectly positioned, walking distance to all the shops, restaurants, bars and opposite the gorgeous sandy beach. The beach is clean, the water is clear, there are aqua sports available and it is watched over by a team of dedicated lifeguards. At night there was a lovely and friendly security guy who made you feel safe when returning late at night. He was very approachable and even helped with our cases when we arrived, just after midnight. During the day the pool and pool bar offered such good inexpensive food and drinks. The bar staff played some great tunes throughout the day, keeping the holiday vibe going and they even took requests from the guests. There was never any problems getting a sun-bed which were comfortable and cleaned every day. Above the pool bar is a gorgeously secluded sun terrace offering panoramic views of the mountains whilst you're being sung to by the crickets. Apart from these, the place is surprisingly peaceful, even at night as the pubs and clubs are just far enough away. Bay watch eat your heart out. Malia beach lifeguards rock the shores!! 😎☀️ We felt incredibly reassured that someone was looking out for us. We hired a car for a couple of days at €60 per day and visited many interesting places and neighbouring town. Things to do? Swim to the island off the beach, visit Spinalonga, go visit St Georges monastery, shop til u drop, do the Malia booze cruise, visit the waterpark. The choice is so vast, you'll want to return. Sun, sea, culture, wonderful people, great food, the kastro beach apartments with Charlies bar ticks every box. We will definitely be returning again because it feels like visiting family. ❤️❤️

  What a gem. Well looked after from the start ,staff are great which makes a brilliant atmosphere. Rooms are basic but with all you need . Prices are reasonable for good food and drinks. BBQ night is a must great night with great food . Pool area is great and Freddie is one top bar man ( hope you’ve dried out) In all a fab place to stay will deffo be returning

  Well what can I say. We arrived early morning and was met the the night guard who helped us with our luggage he took our cases to our room and turned on the lights for us and shown us our room. Such a very friendly guy. The room was spacious and very clean. It was cleaned ever two days with fresh towels beds made up. The pool area is kept clean and all the guests were so friendly everyone spoke to everyone such a lovely atmosphere. The pool bar staff Freddie is lovely. Nothings any trouble for him and he works really hard. He is brilliant with all the guests. The front of house staff are amazing also. Nicos Georgia and toe knee. (Tony) these are the only names I know but honestly they are brilliant every single one of them. The breakfast is good and plentiful we ate at Greek resteraunts in Sallis in the evenings there are some lovely tavernas. The apartments hold kateoke evenings Tuesday Thursdays and Saturdays and it’s a lovely atmosphere. But you really need to book in for there BBQ nights it’s spectacular the food is outstanding and the owners do some traditional Greek dancing and involved everyone. I’m not a confident person but even I took part. Such a wonderful little gem kastro beach apartments is. Thank you to each and everyone of you for our wonderful stay with you. Lyn and Sarah xxx

  10/10 in every department. Staff, food, drinks and rooms all spot on. Our transfer to the airport didn’t turn up and the night porter / bouncer arranged 4 taxis for 16 of us at 6am after trying his best to contact our already paid for transfer. No better place to stay in Malia.
