    Right in the center of town

    We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights after arriving by ferry from Santorini, and was a short 10 minute taxi ride from the port. As we did not have much time to stay longer than 2 nights, our main goal was to visit the Knossos palace and the Archeological Museum.Anyway, the hotel was in a prime location within easy walk to tavernas, grocery and souvenir stores. Our room was splendid! It had a ceiling light that resembled the sky and an exclusive balcony with artificial grass. Bed and pillows were big and comfy, water pressure was strong with good temp control, fast wifi, coffee maker (capsule type), minibar, wide-screen TV and in-room safe.Buffet breakfast had an adequate spread, with freshly squeezed orange juice every morning.I would certainly recommend this place without hesitation.

    Loved my recent stay at Kastro Hotel. The central location made it well-suited for strolls around an interesting neighbourhood. The hotel's warm, friendly staff made me feel at home. Breakfast was a delight with a wide variety of food and drink selections. I really enjoyed some of the Cretan classics. Recently renovated, the rooms feature modern amenities with lovely linens. Don't forget to visit roof top deck on the 5th floor!

    Small hotel but you have all you need in the room. Very good location, one minute walking from the sea. The best beakfast we had in Crete. Very nice staff, they gave us good tips.

    We stayed here for 6 nights and it was a fantastic choice of hotel. It’s very centrally located and everything is within walking distance. All the staff without exception are so friendly and made us feel so welcomed. The room was very spacious and airy. The standard of housekeeping was very high. Breakfast was really good and had a wide variety to pick from. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone planning a trip to Herkalion.

    The Kastro is a nice hotel in a very central location. With comfortable rooms and an excellent breakfast, they really make you feel at home. Top marks too go to the most welcoming and helpful staff who go beyond the ordinary to ensure your comfort.
