    Having read some recent reviews, we were dubious about going but thought we've paid so will go and see. The place was clean, rooms were fine and the food was much better than anticipated. There were 2 downsides... There is nowhere to sit inside for drinks and we going the restaurant managed to be rude at the beginning of the week.

    We have just returned from a fabulous week at Koni Village. We were a little hesitant after reading some of the reviews. However, we've were pleasantly surprised when we arrived.On arrival we were met by a lovely, friendly, welcoming receptionist. Prior to arriving I had emailed the hotel requesting a low level room, due to my partners mobility issues. The hotel fulfilled this. We couldn't have wished for a more suitably located room just a few steps from everything. The room is a decent size for two. The staff work hard and the room was cleaned daily. The bed was super comfy.I don't understand the negative comments about the food. There is so much choice that there is always something nice to eat. The restaurant staff work tirelessly keeping the restaurant clean. They always have a smile for everyone.The pool is a great size. It is a bit cold when you first step in but you soon acclimatise and it was a welcome relief from the beautiful Cretan sunshine.There are many restaurants, tavernas, souvenir and craft shops just a 20 minute walk away. There is also a small shop on site with some essentials.This was our first time to Crete but definitely not our last and we will definitely return to Koni Village!

    Just had a fabulous holiday the room was big and comfortable overall the hole place was clean nothing was to much trouble. all staff where amazing and micheal the night bar man was spot on. we met some lovely people 😀 who shared the same views as us .we did read a lot of poor reviews about the food and drinks but it's a 3 star plus hotel we found everything to be fine I go back in a heart beat give it a go

    Beds are better this year no bad back hotel very tidy clean the only big concern the FOOD not much choices food always stoned cold every meal breakfast dinner and tea looks like a new shef can't cook a egg not done in the middle not good for customers come every year am afraid this year 2 stars
