    We stayed at Kriti Hotel for a couple of nights, right at the end of our two week trip, and couldn't have been more delighted with our choice. We had a short wait before we could check in, due to a tour group and other individual guests arriving at the same time. However, the member of staff spoke to us and explained that she would be with us shortly. It wasn’t an issue and we weren’t waiting long. Check in was quick and straightforward and it was a real pleasure to arrive to such a lovely warm welcome from the female staff member on the front desk who also gave us a voucher for a complimentary drink each. Although our twin bedded room (#414), with balcony and distant sea views, was on the small side, it had been incredibly well designed and lacked nothing. Our beds were extremely comfortable, with wonderful pillows, so we were really surprised to see a pillow menu offering four different types of pillow, something that I’ve only previously come across in 4* and 5* hotels. There was plenty of hanging space with lots of hangers, as well as an abundance of shelf space, including space for multiple pieces of luggage. So often, there is only one luggage rack in hotel rooms, even when the room is for two people, so it was really refreshing to find so much space for our cases. There were a good number of electrical sockets but top marks for the one that was positioned inside a cupboard which could be used when the key card was not in the holder and we were out of the room. Neither of us had ever come across this before and thought it was a fantastic idea!!We didn’t feel like going out on the night of our arrival so stayed in the hotel and had a pizza which was freshly cooked, hot and very tasty. Breakfast too was extremely good with lots of choice. All the staff we encountered were spot on and so friendly and helpful, from reception, to dining room to housekeeping.I’d say that the hotel isn’t the most attractive building architecturally but, even so, we couldn’t fault one thing about our stay. There’s a reasonable amount of parking close by and the location is convenient, with the harbour area and old town being a short walk away. Hats off to Hotel Kriti and its staff for a perfect stay.     Lovely hotel in a close walk to the old town. Staff very friendly and helpful. The breakfast had a good choice the food was filled up quickly when it had run out. The only downfall was wardrobe space in the room was very small the rooms was cleaned every day and towels changed. Overall a very good hotel.     Great central location near beach and town centre

    We have just returned from Kriti Hotel. It was excellent - very helpful staff- central situation near old port and only 0.5km to bus station. The breakfast was different each day of the week and roooms serviced well. The best Aperol spritz we have ever had. Would absolutely recommend.

    Have just returned from a 7 night stay at the Kriti. Everything was as expected after reading the reviews before booking.Check in was quick and staff polite and helpful. We were allocated room 108 which overlooked the main road and the open air concert venue. However, neither impacted our quality of sleep.Rooms are very compact with very little drawer and storage space but we were well aware of this before we travelled.Air conditioning and the use of a safety deposit box is included which is a bonus as these usually incur extra charges in Greece.Room was cleaned daily and bed linen changed twice during our stay. Bathroom was more than sufficient and the shower was powerful with hot water.Breakfast was varied and usually had hot food on offer each morning.Swimming pool is on the small side and has a high wall around it which naturally puts areas in the shade for much of the day. The hotel loans out bath towels free of charge.Food and drink is reasonably priced and we had a Greek salad on a couple of occasions, charged at €6 and was gorgeous and plentiful.The hotel is situated on the outskirts of Chania but is extremely convenient for the beautiful Old Town and is a ten minute stroll away.If you are considering visiting Chania Old Town then this hotel has to be on your list to consider.
