Location

The hotel is located in the Gulf of Malia, in a distance of 1.5 km from the center of the settlement with the same name, in the most popular touristic destination of Crete. It is also located at a distance of 35 km from the urban center of Heraklion, 7 km from Hersonisos and 25 km from Agios Nikolaos, which assures easy and direct access to the most important transportation infrastructures (airport- port) and to numerous touristic attractions of the area.

Facility

The hotel was modernised in 2023. In addition to 15 bungalows, this spacious property includes a residential complex with a lifts,made up of a 2-storey main building and 3 auxiliary buildings. Awaiting guests are 177 non-smoking rooms and a junior suite. English- and German-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are happy to answer any questions. Guests receive a welcome drink upon arrival. Services such as a baggage storage service, a safe and a cash machine ensure a comfortable stay. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. Everyday necessities can be purchased at the supermarket. Children can enjoy the playground. Parking spaces are available to guests travelling by car (no extra charge). Further services include a childcare service, a car hire service, medical assistance, a transfer service, an alarm call service and a hotel doctor. A business centre with fax machine and photocopier is available.

Rooms

Air conditioning and central heating ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. Guests can relax and enjoy the sea views from the balcony or private terrace of some rooms. Rooms have a double bed or a sofa bed. Extra beds and children's beds are available upon request and for a fee. Valuables can be securely stored in a safe for an additional charge. Additional features include a mini fridge and a tea/coffee station. An ironing set is provided for guests' convenience. Other features include a direct dial telephone, a flatscreen television and WiFi (no extra charge). The daily newspaper is laid out for guests in the the rooms. Bathrooms are equipped with a shower and a hairdryer. For extra comfort in the bathrooms, guests are offered cosmetic products. 20 family rooms are available for parents with children.

Sport

Whether in need of rest and relaxation or more activity, guests can swim a few lengths of one of the 4 outdoor pools, while children have a special swimming area just for them. Sun loungers and parasols the sun terrace complete the holiday. Refreshing drinks are served at the poolside snack bar. For guests who wish to keep active, bocce and beach volleyball are available. Table tennis and darts or, for a fee, billiards, are among the sport and leisure options available. A wellness area with massage treatments is available at the hotel. Guests of all ages have the opportunity to enjoy a fun entertainment programme (no extra charge).

Meals

Dining facilities include a non-smoking restaurant, a bar and a lobby bar. All-inclusive can be booked. A continental breakfast buffet (also for early birds and late risers) provides many delicious reasons to rise and shine. At lunch and dinner, guests serve themselves at the buffet. Staff are also happy to provide gluten-free meals. The show cooking is a particularly special attraction. Non-alcoholic beverages, alcoholic beverages and international brands are included in the price.

    We stayed at this hotel in the penultimate week of the season so had the benefit of great weather at a quieter time. The hotel is located a good 30/45 min walk from the main hustle and bustle of Malia with very little nearby (although a nearby restaurant by the port and Eva Taverna are worth venturing out to, both only 10/15 min walk). The hotel itself is very clean, with good size pools and plenty of sunbeds (with a strict "no reserving sunbeds" policy). It's perfectly located next to the beach which again, was very quiet at this time of year. Be prepared to pay extra for sunbeds on the beach, although we didn't bother - the sand was perfectly comfortable. If there's any room for improvement, I'd suggest that the hotel invest in some decent, brand name soft drinks - the cola on offer, for instance, wasn't great. However, it's by far the staff that make this hotel standout from other holidays. Special call-outs to George, Kalimera and Stella on the front desk with their welcoming smiles (and thanks to Stella for the late checkout), to Karim and Hassan in the restaurant who we very much enjoyed chats with every mealtime ("Shukran!"), to George the live-grill chef who was always so friendly (and a great singer), despite having been working long hours, and the effervescent, vibrant Hope in the main bar who went beyond being a bartender - she brought the bar alive and made us feel like we were part of a private party (thanks for all the coffee liqueurs and cocktails, Hope!). We were sorry to say goodbye to everyone....This hotel is ideal for a quiet break away from it all.

    Lovely relaxing holiday with our 3 children. Beautiful views, clean rooms daily and clean swimming pool. Staff friendly, food nice. 10 euros in a taxi to go to strip where it is more lively. We loved the beach which is just at the back of our hotel. No complaints other than there was no evening entertainment but I am guessing it was because we went end of season. Would definitely come back.

    Hey we had a great time. My daughter has coeliac disease. So gluten free. The chefs and catering staff did so much fir her. Everyday they made her fresh food. I will come back next year. I miss so much. Cold here.

    stayed in this hotel for ten days. Personnel nice and friendly. Rooms: basic and simple. No daily cleaning envisaged. You have to leave the keys on the reception and ask to make up your room.Beach towels: it is not like you are given a fresh towel every morning by the pool. You have to go to the reception to pick them IF they are available. Depends on the local laundry which can deliver them any time during the day.The beach: sandy BUT difficult entry to the sea as there are many large stones (not pebbles). For a nice secure entry you can go 150 m to the left to a small sandy lagoon. Attention: two sunbeds and a parasol cost 10 eur per day.The pool: nice and clean.FOOD: deserves a special mentioning. The food is served in a college style cafeteria which cannot be described as a restaurant. So you cannot enjoy a glass of wine with your meal. All soft drinks are served from a multiple nozzle dispenser. As for the food, the menu could not boast a wide variety, and sometimes I felt like a happy rabbit might feel because cabbage, grated carrots and green salad were in all you can eat quantities. On the plus side, the desserts were good.

    We experienced a warm welcome and excellent hospitality by the hotel employees. The location is very good, easy to reach from the airport and next to the sea. There was a very pleasant atmosphere all around the hotel. We stayed in a bright, spacious family room with a private patio and lovely mountain view. The room was clean and although we had some rain on the second day the outside spaces were promptly cleaned from any rain water and mud from the (beautiful) gardens. The hotel has several swimming pools, two of them are for kids. Although the hotel was full, we felt the common areas were quiet enough for us and our two kids to relax and enjoy our stay. Overall, I think it was great value for money and we would definitely stay again in this hotel the next time we visit the area.
