    Family-Run Stay with a Few Quirks

    We stayed for a week in August and overall had a lovely experience. The property is family-run, offering good value for money and a relaxed atmosphere. The pool area was never too busy, which made for peaceful afternoons, and the people running the place were generally pleasant and welcoming.A few practical notes for future travelers:• Air conditioning is available but comes at an extra €7 per day.• The pool bar prices are comparable to nearby restaurants, which is fair, though the menu is quite basic.• One strict rule to be aware of: no outside food or drinks are allowed by the pool. While I understand the policy, it felt a bit rigid at times—for example, being asked to return to our room to drink a different coffee because it wasn’t the one served on-site, despite spending €50–60 daily on drinks there.Also, a small tip: bring an extra toilet roll, as the one provided isn’t replaced once used.Despite these minor points, we had a good time and appreciated the laid-back vibe. With a bit more flexibility in certain areas, this place could be even more enjoyable.

    Well.. what can I say, small, basic, clean and typically Greek. Great location 10 mins walk up to Koutouloufari, (worth doing, beautiful traditional Greek village) 10 mins walk down the hill to Hersonissos. (Bars, shops and very lively at night). Yiannis the self titled "sexy greek barman" made our stay! Lots of laughs and always checking we were ok.. Thank you Yiannis! We will be back!! Would not hesitate to recommend Mareva Apartments (a toaster in the room would be well received)

    What a fantastic little gem of a place ! Of all the places I have been I have never found somewhere that I would want to return too! But I have found my happy place , Yannis and his lovely family made us feel so welcome and safe, and were so helpful and kind myself and my grandson had the best holiday!! Perfect location in the middle of a hill , up top you have a gourgeous village and at the bottom shops , bars and the beach , very clean apartments with everything you need … I have already booked to come back twice! Next year!

    Just got back from a fantastic family 10 night holiday staying at Mareva, a great family hotel, make you feel welcome from the moment you get there. Yannis and the rest of his family willing help in anyway, will hopefully be back next year, all the best Mark 🙂

    The Mareva is a friendly family ran hotel. The rooms are basic, but you get what you pay for, a basic room that offers a very friendly family doing everything they can to make your holiday special. Giannis shares a lot of his knowledge of the area and always up for a good laugh. You won’t be disappointed.
