  Had an amazing tripIn October. Maria and all her family were very friendly and welcoming being on my own.The rooms are comfortable and fairly modern in comparison to someHotels in Crete. Very clean.Small hob cooking but no cooker if you’re hoping to cook a large meal.The hotel is in an idyllic location 10 minutes walk from the bars and around 20 to the beach. The view of the mountains is beautiful.I really enjoyed my holiday here much more than some 5 star hotels I’ve stayed at in Greece.The negative reviews I’ve read were nothing like what I experienced but I find if you’re nice to people they are generally nice to you. I sat with Maria a few times and chatted and everything I requested was met with a friendly smile and all very very courteous. If you’re a nice person and respectful you will probably have an amazing holiday here. I’mGoing back next week

  Just come back from a lovely 4 day holuday to celebrate best friends birthday. Giannis and his grandmother could not have been more welcoming and I woukd definitely go back. Lovely family run hotel, in an ideal location. Thankyou for a wonderful break, we look forward to seeing you soon 😊

  Marianna studios is a lovely family run studios very clean and great atmosphere, we had breakfast and lunch at the studio most days the food is very nice. Me and my partner stayed from 28 April to 4 May it was lovely and quiet. Maria and her family are very welcoming and lovely people made our stay great. To get into the strip is about 5-10 min walk we’re you will hit all the pubs and old town. Very good value for money and will be returning highly recommended for which ever time of the season you come.

  Best hotel ever, so welcoming and felt so safe. Bar tender would stay up til morning to make sure all residents got back okay! Very clean, good facilities defo coming back!!!

  This has been the worse hotel experience I have ever had. I'm afraid the negative reviews are all true so please read them before you decide to book which unfortunately we did not do. Best not to expect hot water as we were told off for asking the owner Maria. Her husband recently passed away and she told us not to speak to her anymore as she is 'sad', we were sympathetic to this but this does not excuse her rudeness and if you read back on the poor reviews you will see this is an ongoing issue ,on speaking to her grandson he advised to speak to him but he does not start until 6pm so if you have any questions in the day then there is nobody to help and a heads up on this would have been useful. He did say they would have preferred to close down but had to honor bookings, strange then that we booked the week before. Also please ensure not to slam the doors even though this was near on impossible to not do due to the type of doors, my daughter was told off for this by the owner. The owner seems to only cater to her friends who were returning guests and we were ignored in the mornings when sat in the eating area, no offer of coffee or breakfast. Basically if you want to feel like an unwelcome guest in someone's home then go along! The owner made us feel so uncomfortable to be around the hotel so we chose to be in our rooms when we were there for the most part . The whole experience was uncomfortable and a complete waste of our time and money, I cant explain how much her horrible attitude ruined our holiday. We had hoped for a lovely family feel hotel but instead this hotel lacks the basics you would expect, limited hot water, no assistance during the day, rudeness from the owner. The only redeeming feature for this hotel is her grandson who works the bar, he really tried his best to be friendly and is a great asset, it was clear he is aware of the issues with the owner and is trying his best to manage this, we went along based on the good reviews and unfortunately did not read the bad ones, I have never written a review before but felt very strongly that guests should be made aware of this hotel. All in all I would advise anyone considering booking to check if the owner is still working there next season and give it a miss if she is!
