English- and German-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out.     For us it was a fine hotel because we didn’t spend much time in the room.l and around the hotel. We were out and about a lot, so just coming back in the evening to shower, sleep, and then have breakfast was perfectly fine.If you’re planning to spend most of your vacation time relaxing and enjoying facilities from a hotel, you should definitely look for a different hotel.The hotel has a strange balance with the budget feel of the facilities but a stunning appearance in a prime location. The hotel feels like a small traditional village with colorful houses and balconies. It’s surrounded by beautiful, colorful flowers, plants, trees, and cacti, which lead into a pleasant pool area overlooking the sea. The hotel has a perfect location in front of the beach, opposite a supermarket, and within a 2 till 12-minute walk of top restaurants and tavernas. However, the rooms and breakfast are very budget. The rooms are somewhat dated, although we did have a new bathroom, which was excellent. Don’t expect too much from the rooms; the walls are bare and the furniture is older wooden pieces. In addition, you have to pay €10 per day for air conditioning. The breakfast, as mentioned in other reviews, is very minimal and always the same; for the first three days it was fine, but after that it got boring.The pool was fine, clean, had plenty of loungers, and you can walk straight from the pool to the beach.It’s worth 3 stars, mainly because of the location and attractive outside appearance.

    We booked Marina Sands, thinking it was near Heraklion, but we were mistaken. What a mistake to make, as the staff, apartments, and location were terrific. It is on the beach, with a great pool bar for food and drinks. Great pool to cool off and the light breeze to cool you down even further. We would highly recommend Marina Sands.

    A cozy hotel by the beach! We traveled without children June and were welcomed in a nice way. A snack bar that serves beer, drinks and some food. Very good service. Outside the hotel is everything you need. We are coming back!Big thanks for everything!!! ❤️Regards,Anders and Annsofie

    The location is very good. The breakfast is simple but nice. The room was good, I would've liked to have a litle more space but it worked. Good pool bar and the swimming pool is very nice. Sunbeds all around. The staff is wonderful. Would recommend this hotel.

    Amazing Antonio

    Lovely hotel set in beautiful surroundings, wellMaintained gardens. I used the pool here everyday whilst on holiday, and it was a pleasure to swim and see the sea from the pool, lovely location. The real credit to this hotel, is a lady called Antonio who works in the pool bar everyday, she is absolutely amazing. I came here nearly everyday to use the pool, and have lunch and drinks with my husband, she was so nice and friendly and the lunches were always fantastic. So, please management pass on my gratitude to Antonio, she works hard and is so lovely, well done!
