  What a waste of money

  We visited here for 2 weeks the pool broke down in the last week and the owner wouldn’t fix it because he would be closing soon ...the food was terrible would be nice to have food that didn’t look like road kill . The room was covered in ants there’s no buses anywhere so you have to drive luckily we found a lovely taverna were we ate after the first 3 days although we had payed for half board at least we could salvage something of the holiday it was suppose to have a clean good beach good for romantic walks when we was on it we never saw a sole for days there was no sun lounges and the beach was filthy old tyres and sanitary product washed up on beach this comes up has my worst holiday ever

  Excellent location if you travelling by car and visiting new beaches every day. Falasarna, Balos, Elafonissi - the best beaches in this part of Crete. We had a room with kitchen equipment with part view to sea. It was clean with new furniture. Staff was polite, pool was clean. Recommend this place.

  Perfekct holiday. Quiet, peaceful and clean. Nice friendly staff...Lots of things to do If you rent a car. Kissamos The City is very close and have Many restaurants.We Will be back. Elena and Helle from Denmark

  Strategic location for Balos beach

  Not bad, but beach is poor, wasn t ready (May) yet. Luckilly we did not pay for breakfast (as I have seen the dinning room at the time of breakfast, it was really poor). Pool si fine, staff ok (although lady from Ukraine doesn t speak English, she was helpfull and called colleague which does). Rooms are fine even for three people. View is poor, but you can stare on goats in the neighbourhood :-)Good location in case you are intending to visit Balos beach. Not expensive.

  50/50...honest review.

  My partner and I stayed here for a week and we had mixed reviews. There was a few things that did let it down for us however the staff were so nice which improved our stay. One thing before we start, if you do not have a car its best not to stay here, you need a car! We stayed in a 3 bedroom, plenty of space and we had a fridge which was great, the view was alright nothing amazing. I was slightly disappointed because usually when we go on holiday, i take a hair dryer with me and the one time i didn't, we did not have a hair dryer in the room which was a bit of a pain! But our room itself was nice!Bit disappointed with the maid service as you only receive clean towels every 3 days and I love having clean towels!However... although the room was nice, our bathroom was awful. Every time we took a shower, we would look up to find a nice big spider in its fly filled web, which was horrible as i hate spiders! secondly we had an invasion of ants throughout our stay, the owner Stelious gave us some ant spray but unfortunately they kept on coming back. Lastly, IT STUNK. It was just awful, it smelt like B.O constantly, even when we opened the window and sprayed it just didn't help. It seemed to get worse whenever we turned the tap or the shower on, so it must have been the drains but it was awful. I did report this throughout our stay but nothing was done, however I did report it again before we went home and the lady said she will get it checked out, so hopefully this has been sorted. Especially as we read a news article when we arrived home that a couple went on holiday and the man sadly died after there was a bad smell in the room. Anyway.. so breakfast was pretty standard, eggs, bacon, sausage, toast etc. A lot of food was covered but a lot of it wasn't so it was not nice to see all the flies going on to the food. We only stayed for dinner twice during the holiday, each night you get a choice of two dinners. Drinks aren't included (apart from water) which is a shame as it would have been nice to at least have one soft drink on the house. However each time we had dinner it was very yummy, one night we had pork balls and chips and the other we had meat balls and chips. The young girl serving was very lovely.One thing i thought was strange, on our last day we were chased after by the breakfast ladies to ask our room number as if we hadn't been there the whole week having breakfast? strange..also we personally think having breakfast start at 8 is a bit late considering sometimes you need to leave quite early especially if your travelling far. 7 would have been perfect.So, some good points!Staff was very nice especially the owner, he was very nice and pointed out a BEAUTIFUL beach down the road Falasarna!The pool area was very nice, we would come back to the hotel around 4ish and some days its either just you down at the pool or maybe a couple of others which was nice.The location is good if you have a car, your an hour away from Elafonissi (GO THERE! much better than Balos) however we did not realise we were about 45 mins to Chania Town which was a pain as we went there pretty much every night.There is a few super markets down the road towards Falasarna which sold soft drinks for like 50cent. So there is no where to go at night really around that area. To some it up, this place is nice and if you are using it as a base to sleep then go for it. But make sure you get a nice room, do not stay in 147 unless the smell and ants are sorted! :)
