  Beware - Even if you check beforehand you may not get the seafront rooms!

  We are gracious guests but expect to get the room you actually book. Warning to others- I since found out that Airbnb WILL help you if, like us, you are not given the room you book -so please contact Airbnb do not just accept partial refunds and sub standard accommodation. Truly Gutted- I had diligently cross checked, via messaging, several times before visiting that we were booking the actual seafront balcony rooms, and was assured it was -however, as others have mentioned in previous reviews, we were not given that room. This is exactly what they told me back in April when I checked and booked : "HotelPraxis 05:30“Hi Vicky,Thank you for your enquiry and your interest in our maisonette.This is a seafront room - yes.No, this is on the first line literally just in front of the beach.”..and yet despite that reply it was most certainly not :(My intention for the holiday was to sit on the balcony -not to have to wander around in the killer heat (forest fires elsewhere!) or stare at a white wall (the view of the backline room). We were given a different room, not the seafront balcony as advertised. Another couple who were, as they admitted, staying longer than we were, got those seafront rooms! Not only was there no time, after struggling through a long car trip, in 40 degrees heat, in a tiny village, but how could we be expected to seek alternative accommodation at that short notice? To be expected to do so is outrageous. So, very much under duress and put on the spot, whilst melting, we agreed to a small refund of the difference between the room we SHOULD have been given, and the backline room we were actually given - but did NOT request a full refund AT ANY TIME, I think they have misread or misinterpreted my messages. As we left a night early to an actual seafront place (look up Gre Ligia, it's not far) but did not ask for the money back, simply dutifully notified we had left, and why. Can you imagine the sinking feeling in the stomach seeing the other couple on that balcony, and even most of the time NOT using the balcony. Gutting.Lisa was good, as the aircon was not working (we daren’t mention it on the first night, given the fuss and attitude of the owner, but were dying in the heat by night 2) so let her know that afternoon and it was mended by 9pm that night – thankyou Lisa for being the go between.

  Scammers, do not provide the room you book.

  Balcony beach dreams in tatters. Trades Description Act should be aware of this scam. If you book the 'seafront maisonette' you will get instead a backline flat, with a view of a wall and building site. You will get offered a refund if you can magically find another place to stay that same day, in 40 degrees heat, in this tiny village, despite after having messages with them, so believed and checked with them multiple times, months beforehand, it was the 'sea front' line flat you have booked. Gutting! I have a health issue so cannot do beaches, but adore watching the sea, hence booking a literal seafront balcony. Absolute con. Also they did not admit airbnb could have found us a better place, for free, as part of the airbnb guarantee. Of course they would have lots their money by having to admit they booked another family in our apartment, who were staying longer and thus paying more. Sickening!

  Outstanding!! An apartment right on the front of the beach, exceptionally clean and everything that you could think you would need has been thought about and included in the price of your stay, complimentary within the room. From washing up liquid, water, shampoo, coffee and tea, fruit, iron, tv, wifi, electric shutters… the list goes on. We were even given a bottle of dry white wine. Lisa greeted us and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. She was around most of the days and would always ask if there is anything we needed. She also left her contact WhatsApp/ Viber number incase we needed her if she wasn’t around. We are still here now and absolutely can’t recommend this place to stay enough. Excellent value and location. Highly, highly recommend.

  The room was tiny. So was the bathroom. It was the smallest room I've had in Greece during my two visits there. The free parking feature is a mirage. You have to park your car some 500 feet away. The laundry service feature is totally misleading too. The attendant first told me he would do it for a small donation but then he disappeared for the entire next day. The check-in is quite cumbersome, you have to call the attendant to get the key and be shown your room. Wi-Fi is slow.

  Lovely location in Myrtos

  We booked 2 nights at Myrtos Mare suites having seen what a great location they have on a previous visit to this lovely village. The studio we had booked was very small but had everything we could wish for, even a table and chairs outside, and only steps from the beach. The owner, Artur, is extremely helpful, and recommended a restaurant that we visited on both nights as it was so good. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again but would opt for a bigger unit next time.
