  Great relaxing little base!

  We had a really relaxing 10 night holiday here at the end of September 2025. Before we arrived we were a little apprehensive due to reading several negative reviews on this website. Please dont let these reviews put you off as this is a loverly little place to stay. The pool and bar area is very comfortable and modern. The sun loungers have really thick cushions on them which makes your stay a very comfortable one. The young staff who work behind the bar are really friendly and always go out of their way to help you. The couple who own the hotel are also really nice. We had a few cocktails around the pool and these were all of a good standard. We ate lunch here aswell and that was really good. We had a room overlooking the pool above the pool bar. It was quiet on an evening. The mattress and pillows seemed to be brand new and we slept really well throughout our stay. We came here on a self catering basic. The kitchen could do with a few more bowls and cups. The location of the hotel is really convenient. Walk out of the hotel gate and turn left and you are in the village of Analipsis which has plenty very good restaurants. Turn right and you are on the beachfront within 5 minutes! There are beach clubs, bars, cafes and restaurants up and down the coast. Plenty supermarkets, car hire, shops and taxi points. If you enjoy walking you can walk for miles along the coast. We walked to Annisaras, Saradari Coves and even Hersonissos from here!We got a taxi to Star Beach one day.To summerise this is a good base for exploring the beautiful coast of Crete.

  On arriving at 5 am I rang the number on the main door of the apartments , I got through to Angela herself and was told reception opens at 8am bearing in mind there was 3 adults and 1 child who had been travelling all night to our destination, so we waited for 3 hours in pitch black not knowing where the hell we were, to be honest the sun started to rise about 06.30am,, I’m so trying to be fair here!! But it sure wasn’t a great start to our holiday,,on the reception eventually opening at 08.00 we was able to speak to Angela herself once again and she told me our room will be ready at 14.00 hours,, let’s not forget I had a young grandchild with me at this time,, I was told take a sunbed and relax til our room was ready!! We had no choice but to sit on stained Sunbeds til our room was available,, then once our room was available we was handed an envelope with a welcome booklet inside telling us the does and don’t of the apartments which I guess is standard,, so our first night in our apartment was hot and sweaty as the air con didn’t work,, so the following day I went to reception and inquired about the non working air con,, I was told it’s 9 euros deposit for the remotes which I thought was fine, I offered to pay at the time and was told by Angela it’s fine I will add it to your room,, the day before we are leaving I asked Angela for my bar tab as coffees and beers just get added to your room number,, then Angela asks for 90 euros for my air con witch is on a timer and works when it wants and will not work if you take your key out of the magnetic socket,, so if your out with your key the air con isn’t on,, I refused as I paid for my room with all the facilities it offers ie kettle fridge cooker and air con,, but this isn’t the point the point is Angela and her son both turn aggressive and demand I pay!! Which I refused as this wasn’t explained or in the booklet they hand you!! It got so bad they threatened to call the police as I refused there demands,, and to top it off you pay 10 euros deposit for beach/pool towels that they provide,, then again on our last day they refused to refund my 40 euro deposit,, I’m not going to get into the sockets hanging out the walls and lack of smoke detectors in your rooms or any assembly points for customers as I really can’t be bothered!! Nana Angela apartments in analipsi Crete is definitely one to avoid,, no customer service skills whatsoever just intimidation and threats!!

  AVOID OWNER HATES ENGLISH

  Bad quality. First day me and my family got there we wasn’t allowed to get in our own apartment until 12. The owner knew we were coming early as we had a night flight and we let her know we were outside. She continued to do nothing about it. They had very poor service here all the workers wouldn’t speak and you would rarely get a smile . in the apartments the plug sockets are hanging out which is very dangerous and no fire alarms!! One morning me and my family were getting ready to go to the pool with the door open since they had poor air con which was 9 euros a day each, which started an argument since they didn’t tell us this at the start and stated it was in the booklet (it wasn’t ) The cleaner stared at me through the door in my bed waiting for me to get out without even asking ( poor privacy) and when we asked her for 5 minutes she rolled her eyes and walked out slamming the door. On the last day me and my family asked to get our 40 euros back for the towels we rented and they said no!!! They then said “people like you” and started a massive argument about it getting all in our faces. Don’t come here they don’t like english!!

  DO NOT STAY AT THESE APARTMENTS

  I would suggest you DO NOT stay at these apartments. The owner NANA ANGELA is a nasty woman. When we arrived at the hotel at 5am in the morning the apartments were in darkness. Luckily their was a contact number on the gates which we called, NANA ANGELA answered and informed is we couldn’t check into her apartments until midday, the only positive was they let us in so we could sit on the sunbeds with a child until she decided to arrive 3 hours later. On the day before departing we asked to pay for the bar bill which was very costly, unknowingly she had added 90 euros to the bill for the air conditioning which we were not informed about. We refused to pay this added cost as if we had known we wouldn’t have accepted this as on the website the charge of the holiday includes air conditioning. NANA ANGELA became very volitile and has no customer service skills ( A VERY DANGEROUS LADY). On the day of leaving we went to hand back our towels which when we arrived we paid 40 euros for and was informed when we hand them back we will get the 40 euros back. When we handed them back we was told to wait as NANA ANGELA was seeping. We left the apartment to get something to eat and on our return our towels had disappeared. We went to the bar and asked for our deposit back for the towels and was met by NANA ANGELAS son who refused to pay this and told us we owed them 50 euros ( NANA WAS HIDING IN THE KITCHEN) she then come out shouting and got into my face very aggressively and told us to take our cases and leave or she will call the police. WHAT A LOVELY LADY (NOT) Do not touch these apartments with a barge poll.

  Avoid !!! Owner hates English guests

  Avoid !!!!! These people are scammers….. started the holiday with being abandoned outside the apartments. Called number on the gate … owner answered and said you can’t check in until 12pm. We landed at 4am. She gave us the code luckily and said wait on the sunbeds until reception opened at 8am!!!!!!! She then turns up at around 7am saying I have come early for you and will check if you can check into a roomEarly. Which then she did and let us go into our room at 9am. We didn’t have then much to do with the owner until the day before we left when we asked to pay the bill (we had a tab for drinks) she then advised we owe €90 for the use of air con … (€9 a day) which we did not know about. We questioned this to the point the owner started to shout at us and come to our room demanding the remote for the air con which we walked straight in and took it and made me feel very intimidated. We left it and carried on to our last day. We then handed back our beach towels which we hired for a deposit of €40 to which they had taken of our sunbeds when we had gone out for an afternoon drink. They then refused to give our money back and said they can’t stand people like us and told us to leave … even tho we have a flight at 11.30pm. Don’t come here the owner is an old witch who does not like English guests.
