    During our recent stay in Crete, we experienced three distinct hotels, including two five-star establishments and one four-star, the Orpheas Resort. While Orpheas Resort provided a satisfactory experience for a four-star hotel, it was notably the most expensive of the three. This may be attributed to several factors, including its limited room capacity, direct beach access (though not a private beach, with a daily fee of 6 EUR for a couple), and its proximity to the higher-priced regions of Rethimnon and Chania. The hotel itself is commendable, particularly its restaurant, and the service throughout the premises was consistently prompt. A recommendation would be to update the guest room towels. The location offers convenient access to the major cities and popular attractions such as Preveli Beach, Elafonissi Beach, and Balos Beach. Furthermore, the hotel's bungalow-style rooms contribute to a tranquil atmosphere, making it a favored destination for many guests.

    Beautiful garden and beach, friendly staff and a comfortable hotel

    We stayed here for 4 nights, and very much liked it. We had booked two rooms in the standard categorie (towards the road, which is quite noisy), and were upgraded to rooms with garden view, which was very nice. My room was very big, with two loungers in the room, and from the small balcony, you could even see the sea in the distance. It is not top modern, but very comfortable, very clean and I really liked it. My mother had a smaller, more modern room, which she enjoyed. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The beach is beautiful and the garden as well. The pools are a bit strange, because they look good, but they are not really functional and not good for swimming.Breakfast buffet was okay. Good bread and some choice, but nothing special. Unfortunately horrible coffee. We didnt have dinner there, so I cant comment on it.What is a bit strange, is that you have to pay for extras. You have to pay to use the safe in the room, for loungers on the beach, for drinkable coffee at breakfast, for drinkable orange juice at breakfast etc. But maybe thats normal, and I dont know it (because we dont usually stay in beach resorts).

    A wonderful break at the Orpheus resort. Staff were outstanding and made us really welcome. The location is perfect and right next to the beach. We had a room with its own outdoor jacuzzi which was very relaxing.I booked a massage in the spa and this was excellent. Konstantinos and Efstathia were very good at recommending the best treatment and the massage was blissfully relaxing

    I had a great time at Orpheas, the food has been excellent, the staff have been lovely and the weather was perfect. I also had a massage at aegeo spas on site from konstansinos and it was excellent. I would definitely recommended the massage and the hotel.
