    A little bit of late autumn sun in the amazing Ourania....

    we have had the most wonderful week stay at the ourania. a very warm welcome from the amazing host, Cally, who has amazing english and is really good fun too. the complex has a very nice cosy and small local village feel to it too with everything close by. great library of books, pool table, good tv for sport, games for around the pool and indoors. the food at the snack bar is fantastic and the breakfast is brilliant. everything from a full English to Greek yoghurt with honey. personal fave is the special omelette. we had included in BnB but its only 8 euros for a full English if you are paying. the appartement is excellent too and we had two rooms. nice balcony at each end in room 205 with great view of the sea and the inland with the mountains. everything we needed and more was in the apartment too. drink is very cheap at the bar whether it's soft drinks or beers. 1 litre of water is a euro from the bar fridge so you don't need to go far if you do not want to. you can cook food if you want to but the breakfast kept us going until dinner time. short 7 min walk to the lovely scirocco beach too and there are loads of places to eat there too plus shops if needed. 15 minute walk to the souvlaki restaurant which is very reasonable to eat ( 5 euro for a gyros!) and lots of local folk eating there which is a good sign. even managed to catch the rugby last night at the Anfield bar a bit further down the coast. there are some lovely walks down to the beach, along to Gounes, 10 min walk to the bus stop to get into Heraklion too. weather has been amazing and mid 20s all the time. we even had 30 one day. cannot find any fault in this lovely hotel/apartment and the resort. sad thing is we have to go home and face the British late autumn and winter. we shall return 100%. The welches.

    We absolutely loved these apartments, the staff were fabulous (especially Kalli), the location, gardens, cats! We had the best time a fabulous October break for the whole family. Some reviewers have mentioned plane noise, I can honestly say we didn’t really notice, yes you hear them but it definitely doesn’t spoil the experience. We will definitely return next year, it had everything you need, 2 wonderful tavernas near by, a lovely beach, bakery, coffee shop and a couple of bars. I have a disability and it is a great apartment (esp the renovated ones) as they are all on one level, for anyone who has mobility issues as they do have ramps as well in most areas or on one level. Thank you everyone, all bar staff and Kalli for a fantastic holiday see you next year ❤️

    Wouldn't usually share a review whilst on holiday. Previous reviews were good and and so true. Can highly recommend a stay here. Callie and amazing staff make this place so welcoming. Spotlessly clean, spacious apartments, beautiful pool area surrounded by olive trees and grass areas. Ample sunbeds too!7 nights is not going to be long enough, will be back next year.

    Had a lovely relaxed holiday Accomodation was great new block All clean and great service maids work so hard Went b and b big love to Stella and Lia for looking after us with a fantastic breakfast every morning xx . Stellios in the bar at night great guy . Shame he supports man united . Would love to come back soon .Love to all the staff you do a great job

    Absolutely loved these apartments ideally located for a quick transfer from the airport.We stayed in a superior one bedroom apartment, which was well worth the extra.Yes, you are on the flight path, but that didn't bother us, and in all honesty, after the first night, it didn't bother us.Staff brilliant helpful freindly and made us really welcomeWe loved it so much we have booked for next year
