    We stayed here very recently. The hotel is perfectly situated. Across the road from a beach & beach bars. A very short walk to the lake. Close to the harbour & the marina. The hotel is well kept & clean. The owner Popi goes out of her way to make sure everything is perfect for you. Nothing is too much trouble

    The music ruins the nice location

    Beautiful view, but the music ruins everythingThe music from the restaurant below is incredibly disturbing. Music can be nice, but when the same kind of loud music is played on repeat from morning until late at night, it becomes torture rather than enjoyment. It’s impossible to sit on the balcony and have a pleasant conversation, which completely defeats the purpose of having a beautiful sea view when you can’t even enjoy it.It’s really disappointing, because the hotel itself has great potential — but the constant noise makes it impossible to relax or sleep. I truly hope the management will reconsider the music volume and schedule so future guests can actually enjoy this otherwise lovely place.

    What a lovely hotel and what a lovely owner!

    We had a wonderful stay at Palazzo.We stayed for 2 weeks and we have nothing to complain about, - nothing at all! The manager, Popi, is extremely service minded and helpful and full of information regarding Crete and Ag. Nikolaos. We highly reccomend this small and cozy hotel!

    Stayed 3 nights in SeptemberLocation was good, short walk to harbour, downtown; balcony overlooking the small beach, the road in front was the main route for tour buses to the parking lot by the harbour, so quite busy and noisy and a chorus of horns if anyone got in their way.The apartment was huge – separate bedroom, large sitting area with dining room and basic kitchen, good size balcony looking on to the beach.Everything very dark and well worn, questionable whether furniture was antique or just old. Floor tiles cracked and broken – we had to cover one area with a towel to prevent tripping over broken tiles.Kitchen had all the equipment but all ancient and not very appealing.For such a large apartment the bathroom was tiny – the tiles in the shower stained, the caulking black with mildew and no storage whatsoever.We never did encounter a staff person although they were quick to respond via text; we asked for a shower curtain and it appeared the next day.We were expecting something more luxurious for a short stay; this is better suited for a longer stay beach holiday.

    Situated directly on the beach just on the edge of the town. Handy to sunbathe and swim and loads of great restaurants and bars nearby. The apartment itself was Cretan in style, dark wood and beautiful tiles with more modern communal areas. Popi on hand most mornings for tips and advice also does breakfasts at an extra cost. All in all a great fortnight.
