Location

Built in the 15th century, this romantic hotel is an authentic venetian mansion located at the quiet end of the old town of Rethymno, below the venetian fortress “Fortezza”, 50 meters from the sea and in walking distance from the main beach of Rethymno. The hotel on a square, less than 5 min from the bus station. Guests will find a plethora of restaurants, cafes, museums, shops and various points of interest, all in easy walking distance.

Facility

The hotel welcomes guests in a 3-storey building with a lift and 22 rooms. Multilingual staff (English, German, French) are happy to assist and advise. Amenities include a baggage storage service and a safe. Wireless internet access in public areas (no extra charge) allows guests to stay connected. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. Film fans will find plenty of 'lights, camera, action' at the cinema. There are a number of shops as well. A garden provides extra space for rest and relaxation in the open air. Additional facilities include a library. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage or in the car park (no extra charge). Further services and facilities include a 24-hour security service, a car hire service, medical assistance, room service, an alarm call service, a laundry service, a hairdresser, a coin-operated laundry and a hotel shuttle bus. Travellers with bicycles can make use of the on-site bicycle storage area. A fax machine is available for guests' business needs.

Rooms

Rooms are equipped with air conditioning and central heating. The rooms have a king-size bed and a sofa bed. Separate bedrooms are available. Children's beds and extra beds can be requested for younger guests. A desk is provided. The kitchenette comes with a refrigerator and a tea/coffee station. An ironing set is provided for guests' convenience. A flatscreen television with satellite channels, a radio, a plug adapter, an alarm clock and WiFi (no extra charge) are provided as well. A turndown service provides guests with additional comfort in the evening hours. Slippers are included. Cosmetic products and a selection of towels provide additional comfort in the bathrooms. 5 wheelchair-friendly rooms can be booked. The hotel has family rooms and non-smoking rooms.

Sport

Guests can work out or just relax in the outdoor and indoor pools. Kids can splash about in a special swimming area just for them. Sun loungers and parasols on the terrace invite guests to relax and unwind. The pool bar serves a selection of refreshing drinks. The hotel offers outdoor sports, including tennis, fishing and horse riding or, for a fee, cycling/mountain biking. Sports enthusiasts are also offered a wide range of indoor activities, including a gym, table tennis, yoga, callisthenics and aerobics. A wellness area with massage treatments is available at the hotel. Activity coordinators organise an entertainment programme for adults and children.

There is a restaurant on the premises. Bed and breakfast is offered as a catering option. A breakfast for early birds and late risers guarantees a great start to the day. Diet meals, gluten-free meals and children's meals can be prepared on request. The hotel also offers special catering options.

    Arrived at this hotel last night.Booked 10 night stay via Easy Jet.Room we paid extra for is a “suite”Comprising a small bathroom Kitchenette with sofa table & wardrobe and separate bedroom. Nothing like the suite photos on easy jet website by the way!Air con unit in the bedroom not great. However the air con unit in the kitchen/ lounge does not work at all. Informed reception only to be told it cannot be fixed!!!!Not good enough!One of the hottest months of the year and air con insufficient!Also states on website suite has either terrace or balcony!Should be noted however our balcony is NOT private. Looks like shared with four other rooms!!WiFi very slow too.Location on edge of old town is excellent.!

    The hotel has a homely feel rather than another soulless hotel where everything looks the same. The hosts are welcoming and know your name and room number first time you meet them and they are always around to ensure everything is the way you want it. Breakfast included home-made foods and was superb.A lovely hotel right on the edge of the old town with its wonderful quirky streets and shops and restaurants you've never seen before.

    Well restored building just on edge of the old town. We had a room with a small balcony. Big bedroom, with kitchen but disappointed that there were no kitchen supplies, no teabags or coffee, not even a bottle of water.Breakfast was OK, staff pleasant.

    Excellent place to spend a very nice and relaxing vacation in Crete! We received everything we needed here, a very nice big room, a great location, and one very important advantage is the parking place.Breakfast was very good!On top of these I would like to point out the kindness and the willingness to assist us received from the personnel. Even though they were busy sometimes, they always took the time to answer all of our questions and provide us tips and tricks to where to go and visit amazing places.
