    Stayed for 7 nights self catering. We were given a second floor sea view room which had 2 balconies and was lovely. The room was packed with all the amenities we needed for our stay, however we did go to the local supermarket to purchase a cloth, wash liquid and hand soap as not in the room. This was our first time self catering so was unsure what we would receive. The room was large, bright and clean with a kitchen and table area. The bathroom had a large shower and also spacious. The main bedroom was well appointed and very clean. The pool area was lovely, no need to reserve beds as plenty for all. Although in the height of season this maybe different. The staff were attentive and helped us when needed, other than that they left us to come and go and enjoy our holiday.You pay 10 euro to use the safe deposit box that is located in the wardrobe. Also a charge for A/C - believe this is 50 euro, we didn’t need it on this trip. All in all I would definitely stay at this family run hotels again, it’s clean, safe and in a great location to explore Stalis, Malia and hop on the local buses to travel the island.

    I have been coming to Stalis for years now and we have always visisted pela sofia in the day to use the pool aswell as drink and eat lunch there to so we spend between 60-100 euros a time. Karen one of the waitresses is lovely and couldn’t fault her at all but the owner/manager is very very rude not allowing any kind of fun or ball games (every time I have been someone is playing catch then the second day we returned the ball was gone so we bought a new one to play with but as soon as we started playing with it they started shouting at the kids saying no balls) 🤦🏻‍♂️🤷🏻 and when our two girls aged 6 and 9 were in the pool playing on a Lilo made some noise she ran over and said no noise too loud (nobody else was in the pool at this time or even around the pool as it was late afternoon) They had been jumping in and out of the pool for a few hours untill again she ran over and so no more jumping. They may aswell keep it to a adult only place as any type of kids noise is not welcomed and they shout at the kids and not speak to the adults. We have spent a lot of money here over the years and was very shocked to be treated this way. They obviously do not care about returning customers. A shame as it’s a lovely setting.just need to get new staff (let me say again Karen is lovely and very welcoming and was sorry to see us go as we did nothing wrong

    Don't recommend the restaurant to anyone. The food is not what they say in the menu and the staff is extreamly rude. I ordered pasta with salmon and received the pasta without any bit of salmon, my friend ordered pasta with seafood and had only one shrimp (dropped by mistake probably). When we complained to the gay responsible instead of appologizing he started arguing with us, embarrasing us in front of others clients.

    What a beautiful hotel and restaurant. It has one of the best swimming pools in the area that is open to customers of the bar. The bar/food service during the day is wonderful where you will be served by the lovely Karen. Pizzas are a speciality here from a very varied menu. In the evening the restaurant transforms into a modern feel with excellent food cooked to order. If your in the area you should give a try, day or night. It’s just great.
