    Quiet Gem of a Hotel

    A very friendly family-run hotel with varied continental and hot breakfast buffet choices. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks can be taken on the terraced garden overlooking the beautiful sandy bay. Rooms are very clean and rustic with plenty of hot shower water and fluffy white towels. Hotel is located at the far end of Plakias beach and there are lots of places to eat and drink within a 5-30 minute walk. There’s also a spectacular hillside walk behind the hotel leading to a tunnel through the cliffs.

    A great location and very friendly people. I was welcomed with a smile. The hotel has an excellent courtyard area with olive trees, table and chairs and amazing views. An exceptional area to have a drink. I didn't try the restaurant but the menu looked amazing and I shall try it next time. Great sunset view. I shall return. Amazing views and sunset.

    The hotel is located on a very quit and beautiful side of Plakias bay, the view from the room and the balcony is stunning! The beach is 2 minutes walking from the hotel. The stuff is very helpful and friendly. The breakfast is very nice, fresh and delicious. We really recommend staying at Plakias bay hotel We definitely will come back!

    Our room had a lovely view over the beach. Our room was small and basic, but the bed was comfortable and quiet and we had everything we needed. The balcony off our room was perfect for watching the sunset and the food in the restaurant in the evenings was excellent. We had a hire car and enjoyed exploring the local beaches. The first 3 days were unpleasantly windy which made us question Plakias but it got better.

    If you want to strip back all those expensive and pretentious holiday hotels and go back to a good bit of basics this is the place to stay. Food is great and nothing special but it comes with love and local produce. The view is amazing, right across plakias bay. There's no pool, just a 1 k sandy beach. Sun loungers are 2 for 5€ and don't forget the doughnut man comes round🍩 chocolate ones are to die for. If you have come for the nightlife you are in the wrong place. No noisy lorries or loud scooters here. Hotel backs onto a side of the mountain. If you like walking and trekking then this is the place. The owners can point you in the right direction. There are some great tavernas locally and the local bakery next to the supermarket is heaven. The plakias bay hotel is great value for money and we won't leave it another 15 years before we return!
